the reason the mic didnt make a noise or have feedback is because 1)he literally verbally warned the soundguy he was gonna drop it by saying to invoice him for the mic 2) when mic dropping started to get popular and artists would do it often or at every one of their shows theyd hold the mic out for a second first then drop it. its not to make it look cooler, its just for warning to the soundguy to have a second to mute it, which alex also did. so like soundguy got a double warning basically.

Everyone is always trying to raise each other's self-esteem, when people feel bad about themselves, everyone's telling them that they're wonderful to cheer them up but once people's self-esteem is restored, once someone ACTUALLY believes that they're great, then everyone hates them for it and calls them an a$$hole. the most legendary brit speech ever
@kaceyrulz123410 жыл бұрын
I get the impression that people are overly sensitive to things like this these days. He's probably drunk and acting cocky on purpose. What did you want him to do? A lame ass speech like every other celebrity? I don't know but I appreciate a speech like this every once in a great while. Just my opinion, no hate

Can I be that deep and a genius when I'm drunk? Alex Turner is one of the most brilliant men out there. This speech was so well spoken, and I don't care if you think he was being a dick. (He was drunk anyways) rock 'n' roll will truly never die.

People are calling the face of rock music for the past ten years and asshole because he's drunk, trying to remember a speech that says nothing other than that rock and roll will never die? I guess you people hate Elvis, Cash, and other legends who acted just like this, too!
@jess.p10 жыл бұрын
The face of rock for 10 years? No one has ever called them that as far as I know 😂you've literally just made up a title and gave it to them. Don't get me wrong they're great but you're defending them with this made up title that no one refers to them as...
@Kickflippa10 жыл бұрын
Actually I said it because I've heard others say it. I didn't make it up. I'm not even that big of a fan of theirs, why would I make something like that up?
@tylerdurden43689 жыл бұрын
I'm Defnotgosu must be jokin comparing Elvis and Cash to Alex...the point is that both were authentic...when you watch old gigs and interviews of Alex you can see an authentic Alex...with his little shyness but still self-confidenceness...he was really cool but now he´s trying to be cool...miss the old Alex

Why did everyone hate on this? It's great! The one time they did a serious speech, one that was great may I add, people mocked it! It's a quality speech! People said it was douchey, but he's obviously taking the piss. They never take award shows seriously, have you seen their other speeches? It speaks so much truth as well.
