While I never got to meet her I can't help but cry. The TV show was a big part of my childhood and cheered me up when I was down it also lead to my love of railways and my continued enjoyment for Thomas and Friends. Even though she is gone we all are still united together as a fandom. If I had ever gotten the chance to meet her I'd thank her for creating something so special to me and everyone else. Britt Allcroft was one of my childhood heroes, I'm sure everyone feels the same way. Lady is one of my all-time favourite Thomas characters, not because she's purple and gold (my favourite colours), but it's because Britt supplied the voice of Lady in the final version of Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Being a person on the autistic spectrum, Thomas is such a massive part of my childhood and my life growing up and always will be. Thomas is still so popular for those in the autistic community. Thank you so much, Britt, for bringing Reverand Awdry's books to the screen and thanks for the Magic Railroad movie and the character of Lady. We will all miss you so much and you'll always be remembered and your legacy will always and always and always live on forever. To quote Lady's line; "And helping each other brings to life the magic in al of us." I wish Lady would've had more appearances in the television series and she should make a magical return in All Engines Go.

That was a lovely tribute to the woman who brought Thomas the Tank Engine to our TV screens. I owe a lot to Britt Allcroft and will be forever grateful to her for bringing Thomas to our TV screens. While the Reverend Wilbert Awdry was the person who created Thomas, it was the television show ‘Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends’ that introduced me to Thomas’ world. If it weren’t for Britt Allcroft, the Reverend Wilbert Awdry’s Railway Series books would never have been made into the television show we all know and love, and I would never have been introduced to Thomas and his friends. And had I never been a massive Thomas the Tank Engine fan as a child, I would never have then gained an interest in steam locomotives, nor would I have gained an interest in model railways! And also, had the television show never been made, I would never have been brought up on either Ringo Starr’s narration for the show or Michael Angelis’ narration for the show, and had I never been brought up on Ringo Starr’s narration as well as Michael Angelis’ narration and then found out later on that Ringo was previously a member of a band called ‘The Beatles’ (and decided to find out more after finding that out), I would never have then gone on to be a Beatles fan! My thoughts and prayers are with Britt’s family and friends. Rest in peace, Britt Allcroft, and thank you for everything.

Not only just watching Thomas the tank engine on tv has gave me many memories but also playing with the toys as a young child. The day out with Thomas has brought joy and excitement to people young and old alike to see him in real life at our local train museums. Thomas the tank engine is one of the reasons why I got into trains. Even though I’m 31 but Thomas the tank engine will forever and always have a special place in my heart forever and ever! I’ve had so many memories of Thomas the tank engine and playing with the toys with my friends back in preschool and kindergarten. My inner child is crying now and without Britt Allcroft, Thomas the tank engine would not be the big success that we know today. Thank you!

Bringing that Pokémon song "The Time Has Come (Pikachu's Goodbye)" into the picture with Thomas and Lady strolling together before Lady sadly disappears and Thomas sees Britt Allcroft's spirit up in the sky at the docks, as an allusion to her favourite episode "All at Sea", really brings me to tears. I will never forget that woman for giving me happy memories of watching my favourite tank engine on the television screen; may she rest in peace. 😭
