The fact that she mortgaged her own house just so the original Thomas The Tank Engine series could get on the ground is something I would applaud. While Wilbert Awdry may have been the creator of Thomas and the world of the Railway Series, Brit Allcroft was the person that made the franchise more well known through television and internationally, she definitely left a huge impact.

Carty, I'm sure you cannot describe how fulfilling it must have been to be able to not just talk to the creator of your childhood, but also be able to call her AND regularly talk to her as well. She seemed like a very passionate and dedicated worker in a male dominated time period, and we will never forget that. Godspeed to the Allcroft Family ❤️❤️🕊🕊

That was a lovely tribute to the woman who brought Thomas the Tank Engine to our TV screens. I owe a lot to Britt Allcroft and will be forever grateful to her for bringing Thomas to our TV screens. While the Reverend Wilbert Awdry was the person who created Thomas, it was the television show ‘Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends’ that introduced me to Thomas’ world. If it weren’t for Britt Allcroft, the Reverend Wilbert Awdry’s Railway Series books would never have been made into the television show we all know and love, and I would never have been introduced to Thomas and his friends. And had I never been a massive Thomas the Tank Engine fan as a child, I would never have then gained an interest in steam locomotives, nor would I have gained an interest in model railways! And also, had the television show never been made, I would never have been brought up on either Ringo Starr’s narration for the show or Michael Angelis’ narration for the show, and had I never been brought up on Ringo Starr’s narration as well as Michael Angelis’ narration and then found out later on that Ringo was previously a member of a band called ‘The Beatles’ (and decided to find out more after finding that out), I would never have then gone on to be a Beatles fan! My thoughts and prayers are with Britt’s family and friends. Rest in peace, Britt Allcroft, and thank you for everything.

Britt really did care about making 'Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends' as real as possible. How she funded the money to make the first series showed how committed she was. All her hard work paid off and she gave Thomas the biggest role he has ever had. We are all so proud of her, and we will never forget how much of a big heart she has. R.I.P Britt Allcroft. We will miss you 😢.

She played an extremely important role for Thomas & Friends, and the franchise wouldn't be popular worldwide without her. Britt Allcroft, I want to say....thank you. Thank you for inspiring us. Thank you for making us the Thomas fans we are today. Wonderful tribute Carty. I am very grateful for you as not only Britt’s care taker, but also her good friend more importantly of all, she is very lucky to have as her friend along side Rick. "In someways you remind me of Thomas" she said to you on November 27th 2023 on stage during the An Unlikely Fandom premier in New York that warmed mine and everyone’s hearts in the auditorium. She was responsible for making my childhood magical when I once had difficult time communicating and couldn’t overcome things when I was at a very young age, and I know for a fact that she made yours and everyone’s childhoods wonderful as well. Thank you for everything, Britt Allcroft, if it weren’t for you and bringing Thomas from The Railway Series onto television around the world, mine and everyone’s lives would’ve been completely entirely different without your magic. Rest in Heaven, Britt. 🙏🏻🕊️
