@@higler. i get what u saying she's a great heel, but right now she's a face though coz she ain't getting boos coz she's an aew original. And by the looks of it she isn't gonna turn on Hayter so real heel heat ain't coming soon. She's that good though so it doesn't matter the role she's one of the few that always delivers for sure.

I was mad at Britt for a little while. Her work ethic to come up the way she did and improve the way she did into a champion. I was mad at the way her & Rosa weren’t getting on the same pages and the beefing. Knowing in my mind as a fan they are forever opponents, but now I realize I was just afraid of her becoming a Charlotte Flair. Britt is destined for greatness and reverence in this business and I was afraid it would all be for naught. The way Britt has taken a role to play the back in the women’s division while doing ANY & EVERY thing to get the women’s division over and drive it forward is incredible. I will never doubt the good Dr. again. Because I believe beyond a reasonable doubt Britt Baker cares more about the future of women’s wrestling than her legacy because she has the intelligence, integrity, and the wisdom to know that her legacy is directly tied to the fate and future of the womens division. Britt Baker isn't even close to Charlotte Flair in being toxic and being given title matches for nothing. Britt Baker earns her opportunities.
@sleepinggorilla
@sleepinggorilla Жыл бұрын
@@christophermarriott1681 I have never felt any of that was Charlotte's fault. Rather it was the result of management having no faith in women wrestlers. To be honest, I can see it. Charlotte is not my favorite Horsewoman but she has the WWE style down. She can be trusted to do business most of the time. Credit to Dr. Britt Baker for carrying her division, and contributing so much while she was injured and during Covid.

I don't tell anyone how else to feel, but Britt has broken out as a legit star. Her promos got so damn, good, but the little things too. She's really worked on her body, because she's toned AF like an athlete lately. Even things like her ring gear is just next level, and the other girls aren't on that level. I feel bad about the Rosa thing, but apparently Rosa was having an issue with a few girls, and it went that direction.
@Jeff_Pryce
@Jeff_Pryce Жыл бұрын
I get the Charlotte Flair comparisons with Britt. But it wasn’t exactly the same thing. Charlotte was given a lot of opportunities in a locker room that was crammed with talent that was equal to or better than her. On the other hand, Britt is one of the very few diamonds in AEW’s women’s division. Most of the other women, including the current women’s champion Jamie Hayter, aren’t stars; they’re kinda mid. When you have a better look and stronger package of attributes than your contemporaries, it makes sense that management will be promoting you more. There’s a handful of women that have the potential to be stars in AEW: Britt Baker, Jade Cargill, Tay Melo, Skye Blue (once she improves her mic skills), Anna Jay (once she polishes her ring skills a little bit) and Thunder Rosa. Beyond that, the company needs more women to step up and get to that next level, or they need to bring in new talent (like Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone) who already are.

Everyone I hear talk about Punk wants him back. Even Jericho who called him a "cancer" which I believe Jericho was in character when saying that/joking, but even Jericho doubled back/down and said he'd love to have Punk back. Omega didn't mention him by name but hinted at putting everything behind them and moving forward and wanting him to remain in the company. It's only certain kind of wrestling fans that believe everything they hear from the dirt sheets and social media, who gather everything up and talk shit about Punk, that don't want to see him back, but those fans are few in numbers. CM Punk is still one of the biggest stars in the business and loved by many, who wants him to return and I believe when he's ready, when TK and AEW is ready, that they will bring him back.
@gregthegroove

The saving grace 1% chance of Punk returning to AEW is the fact that Tony, AEW, Punk have been super quiet through all this. And I’m not sold entirely on NDA’s contracts and lawyers got involved. I’m sure they did in the beginning. But as the smoke clears, the fact that Punks not gone officially, has never been let go and is still getting paid even during his injury obviously. If they can pull this storyline off with Elite v Punk in a Blood and Guts match would be something to really see man. It’d prob be there highest grossing PPV to date.

Personally I don't see any animosity from Britt toward Jaime at all. Not to say that it won't happen eventually, wrestling storylines rarely keeps a team / friends together with no drama between them. Britt is awesome, can't wait to see her have more show stealing matches with some of the great talent that AEW has and potential future talent. ❤

I think in hope's of building an AEW women's division, that they don't ever break up. They would be the first official women's tag team in AEW, that's been together for a while and one that truly meshes well with each other. I wouldn't mind them being the inaugural AEW women's tag team champions. They are the total packages, in terms of character work, promo's and wrestling. Before recent events I couldn't see Britt as a face, but now, she has the potential to be the biggest face in the company, especially in the women's division. I don't want to see Britt convert back to being a heel RN and I don't want to see Britt turn on Jamie.
@Danielson1818

There is no animosity. Britt really did ask Tony to bring in Hayter. They probably could and should push a rivalry for the story sooner or later, but it'll be totally scripted.

Sorry I meant I don't see any on screen animosity, aka scripted, because before they really start into one of those storylines the champ is the champ and the other starts making sly faces behind the others back. I don't want to see them split anytime soon either.

14:06 to 14:06. I disagree. The Bucks tank the ratings every time they are featured. Kenny was out for an extended period and business didn't suffer it got better in some instances. CM Punk has been the one signee that has consistently produced: ratings, viewership and box office success OVER EVERYONE in that company. I bet Tony has buyers remorse on at least 75% of that roster. 14:57 The Elite did not shutdown the rumor that Punk got Cabana fired and let it spread out to the point that people began to chant Cabana while Punk was trying to promote the PPV and Hangman went into business for himself on that promo. I don't how is Punk wrong in this?

For a go home show, Dynamite in SF was not a good show. And Dynamite has had a few nice shows in a row a few weeks ago. Very inconsistent, no stars other than the top 3-4. Booking and storylines have been MEH. Tony desperately needs to make at least 3-5 more top guys. Big Bill IMO is a star waiting to be born in AEW, he could be the next big dude, like Kevin Nash. Bill has an unbelievable look, best shape of his life, and he can talk. Bills name sucks. He’s a baby face too. Gotta tell his comeback story. He’s not a heel. He has alot of charisma and best part is he’s decent in the ring. He can do all the big guy moves, looks vicious and he can sell nicely too. Bill, Hobbs, Hook, Starks, FTR, Adam Cole BAY BAY, Andrade, Rush, Takeshita. Damn Tony, FN wake up and start there FFS. Dynamite should’ve been called Mid card Mite. Jesus Christ. I’ve never seen a bunch of mid carders just invade a GO HOME SHOWWWWWWWWW….Cmon AEW. REALLY? Everyone is rooting for Tony, the fan base is patient but if you don’t show the willingness to change or get some good people to write for them. The writing now vs the writing 2 years ago in 2021 is night and day difference. I’m not sure how involved the EVPs are in writing the shows or contributing but id be curious to see what’s changed since then. And the first words that come to mind that makes any sense is Cody Rhodes.

Britt is very classy. Taking the high road, I understand. But at this point, the truth has to come out. Without that, yes, rumors will be continued. Rumors and gossip and us putting the holes together about what happened will continue. And reason being is because this was live, pal. We got to see some of it, so then we wonder. So expose it, and it will be done. Don't leave us hanging when you as wrestlers wasn't us to cheer for some, and for others. And CM Punk does NOT deserve so much diplomacy at this point. When it comes to what's good for business, the old grizzled veterans in that company should know better by now, they have been through it. They have NO excuse to act out and go to business for themselves. This wrinkle that you describe Britt baker, was solely caused by CM Punk, and to shit on the whole roster and the whole company, that Young Bucks started, is just so GRIMEY! A disingenuous bastard he is?

The Bucks were a big boost at the start, but now they are a detriment. The Bucks will do everything they can to preserve the status quo and prevent the company from reaching the next level because that would mean that the Bucks would lose their spots at the top of the company and many of their friends will lose their jobs to more deserving people. Bucks are awful EVPs who are disliked by the majority of wrestling fans outside of AEW diehards. Tony can either stick with them and be happy with the niche audience, or move on from them and and try to grow larger.

The Saraya/Storm/Ruby/Britt/Hayter storyline is godawful. Toni is born to be a babyface and looks really uncomfortable out there. Jamie is still in Britt's shadow even with the title and much as I'm a BIG fan of her's, Jamie's promos just haven't been good ... lots of calling other women 'bitches' and not much else. It's pretty obvious somebody's writing her promos because she's using a load of US slang despite being British. Britt's just coasting until it's time for her to get the title again. Saraya is HORRIBLE ... she's not a heel, she has 'fast forward' heat with me. Ruby's about the only thing I like about this angle; she's actually working pretty well as a heel. Even with all this influx of talent from WWE, the AEW Womens Division is still woeful - way behind WWE's or even Impact's divisions.

Bruiser Brody was stabbed to death in a bathroom backstage... AEWs Lil tiff wasn't a blip on the radar in comparison.
