Your page is so incredibly helpful! I was getting so overwhelmed looking up what other people have done and seeing how perfect and put together everything they do and share appears. Thank you for making this seem attainable while also truly being educational! Love you for this!

You should check out a laminator they're pretty cheap and it'll be much easier to pull off the velcro pieces if the velcro dots are stuck to the laminated sheet instead of the page protector moving around!

I love the layout of these binders! Thank you for sharing. My son is 3 and knows his alphabet, shapes, and numbers up to 20, but I don’t do anything official yet. I found totschooling because of your videos. We didn't really do a binder this year, I started organizing stuff by subjects in drawers on a cart I got at Walmart. Then we just pull out the drawer and they pick what they want. In case any others are interested I found some Velcro dots at the Dollar tree, they are slightly bigger than the ones in your video. Thanks for the suggestions.

I lovr anything that teaches toddler's to read going on youtube to see what other pareneare doing for their kids, my son is 3 years 2weeks old, he knows the flags of the world, he reads (he learned when he was just 1year couple of months old), at 1yr he read all his numbers from 0-100 and alphabets and read them in the scattered Manner , count til 50 reads numbers from 0-1000 knows the continents, we know learning the map, so basically most things an average 5-6year old should know i have covered it before he turned 3, now we putting knowledge in his leaning ability, thanks to lockdown i get to do all that in our pace 😊

I can make my own binder too.. hope u have more videos to make with your toddlers. I have 3yrs old twin toddlers too and 1yr old.. Im excited to make a binder like yours... Thank u so mucH! Thank you for watching and your comment! Yes, you're right. I don't laminate all of my pages. Laminating all of the pages can be time consuming and expensive. It’s hard at times because I want him to take it all in and be smart! But I want him to have fun and not let him be tooooo structured because his mind just goes to another place quickly! My daughter is 20 months and I bought what is in her binder from Life abundantly, it was on sale so I paid $25 and have used about 1/3 of it so far. Part of what she is using now has trees with apples in them, there is one tree on each page and they go from a tree with one apple to a tree with ten apples. in the bottom there are non colored apples that once she is a little older she can color how many apples are in the tree. Sorry I am the worst at explaining things. The rest of the binder are letters with a picture and word of something that starts with that letter. She can read, but she is learning a lot of words that aren't really said in our house. She knows a million animals, my favorite is when she says igloo. She will pull out her binder on her own and is excited to go through it.

Hi Brittany! I am new to your channel and had started off with your homeschooling essentials video! You had mentioned how much you loved your laminator so i added that to my cart and bought it.. then i came across Jady a’s videos and she raved about the sheet protectors like you’re using in this video Do you now prefer sheet protectors too? Almost thinking about returning the laminator 👀
@BrittanyLynnHomeschool4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tavy! THANKS so much for watching and following my videos. I love sheet protectors too. But, when it comes to some things, I think the laminator is essential. For example, the small pieces in these binders that you match will only last if they are laminated. I think all homeschool moms are different though, so it depends on what you plan!

Thank you! I haven't thought of doing that before. These one's I'm just giving away for free to the first 100 who DM me on insta. I might think of doing something like that in the future though!

Hey! Thank you for all these videos! They've really motivated me to start teaching my two year old son! I've been working on a circle time board and a binder for him! I had an idea to teach him his family tree! I printed out a picture of everyone (us, our siblings, parents and grandparents), laminated them and put Velcro on the back and I'm gonna teach him how we're all related and he can out the pictures in the right spots! Thought it was a neat idea and you might like to try it!

Wow that is an amazing idea! I definitely love it and will have to try it out for my girls too! Thank you.

I just started homeschooling like 3 days ago with my daughter who is 3 (well actually 4 next month). And I feel like such a bad mom bc my daughter is just now learning a lot of the same things as your 2&half yr old 😭 not her fault at all cuz she’s smart but I am a single mom and work a lot as well and I just haven’t had the necessary one on one time nor the time to put into making things like these amazing binders! I went down to part time work this year specifically to do homeschool. Also don’t think I realized what all she was capable of retaining at learning at such young ages like 1-2. I have a son as well who is 1&half. I def I’m planning on introducing things sooner with him. I’m trying to even include him in some of her teachings that are applicable for his age.

I'm so glad you commented! Please DON'T beat yourself up over not spending a ton of time teaching up until now. You are doing your best as a single working mama. We as parents have a lot on our plates and shouldn't carry that guilt around! Also, kids all learn at different paces so it is tough to compare them. I think you will be so surprised at how well your daughter learns once you get a simple routine in place. I hope you get a peaceful rhythm for your sweet little fam. Also, I saw your other comment about teaching the alphabet. I always introduced the upper and lowercase letters at the same time. It seems to go much more smoothly that way.

Great video! Thank you. I am currently making a busy book for my 4 y/o. Thank you for the suggestions especially the free pages. I plan to use bindersleeves and laminated sheets. How much time do you spend studying per child each day. Do you study with them simultaneously?

My son turned 4 in May. I'm so surprised to see your little one writing the words that she sees so well. I'm working having my son copy and write shapes that he sees, but writing actual letters has not happened yet. Is that something that she has recently gotten really good at? Or has she been doing that for a while?
@BrittanyLynnHomeschool4 жыл бұрын
I've had her tracing letters and numbers and doing pre writing activities since before she was 3. So it may just be that she's used to it and developed the fine motor skills. Give it time with your son, and just provide fun tracing practice.

I have been looking for a tutorial of how to make kid’s binder. Haven’t got yet... I mean if we want to create our own and how we paste them. If we laminate and what glue is best we should use? So when the kids take off the cards it won’t be apart 🥴
@BrittanyLynnHomeschool4 жыл бұрын
A lot of the pages you can simply insert into sheet protectors, if you laminate, you need a laminator and laminating sheets. The velcro tabs come from amazon with adhesive on the backs already. You can find all the items needed in the links in my description.

Wow my 4 year old is so not ready for the rise and shine curriculum. Should I worry? 😞 what has helped her write so well? My 4 year old doesn’t have a great grip and is very shaky when she writes. She still doesn’t get the hang of writing the letters and numbers.

Don't worry at all! Allchildren are different and have different strengths and weaknesses. It does not mean your child is falling short. I have my daughter trace the alphabet daily, she uses The Good and The Beautiful handwriting workbooks. To strengthen her grip and muscles try having her play with playdoh everyday. Coloring all the time, and picking up small objects with tongs.

How many days a week do you do the homeschooling? And for how long per day?
@BrittanyLynnHomeschool4 жыл бұрын
For the most part, we do homeschool 5 days a week. But since they're so young we can skip a day here and there. With my oldest its usually about 1.5-2 hours a day.
