Love you guys so much for these tips. As a 30 year old single ladg, I have been able to clear all my debts (thank Jesus) and now currently paying off my mother’s own. Financial training is very important tbvh. We have to have these conversations with even our kids

Loved this topic. You all explained it very gentle and clear. My husband and I are like you both. We are on the same page and set the same goals for finance. It is rough when you are in a relationship that is not that way. I pray for everyone out there struggling or just working towards a goal. I pray for self control, and persistence. I pray you give yourself grace. If you trip up, just forgive yourself and start again. You got this 🙏🏼

It would be great to have a follow up video that discusses the wedding. 28k and some change does seem like a lot of money, especially when it sounds like you aren’t certain if that number is even accurate. I think it would be super interesting to hear how you rationalized some costs and in hindsight what would you have done differently to save money. This is all so subjective. Average cost of wedding in the United States in 2023 according to Zola was $33,000 and that includes both the wedding and reception.

We did a big down payment on a house instead of a wedding ,made more sense to us.

The goal is to receive money, save, then spend. What many struggle with is receive, spend, loans, and no saving.

Thank you for being so informative!! How would you resist buying clothes that are in? Or shopping at Costco weekly? TikTok makes it difficult to not want to stay "in with the trend".

Good question! I think we can do a follow up with more details on what we did. Use a budget. The one I use now is called Every Dollar in the App Store- it has you give a name to every expected dollar before you get paid and I love it! :)

Here's what I don't understand (and i love you guys!) You talk about budgeting and expenses (budgeting makes it sound like you don't have a lot of money, because people with money don't budget) but THEN you also drive a G Wagon, got your dughter a benz, bought and sold a house during covid....etc. This is kind of where it doesnt make sense what you're selling.

Something great about community college is you get to keep the FAFSA money. Since I’m in California The California College Promise program pays for my classes. Which means I get to keep and save what FAFSA gives me.
