Old as I am (70), I wish I'd been born 200 years ago, lol. I have fine hair but beauticians in the past told me I have a lot of it, so thank you, Jesus. I keep the same routine I've done for years, wash my hair maybe every 3-4 days unless I get myself sweaty/filthy doing some physical chore. I keep it on the shorter side and trim it myself now. After I shampoo, I check the drain catcher in my kitchen sink and never find but a few hairs. (I hate washing my hair in the shower, lol). I've used a dab of Suave shampoo for years and alternate several different ones. I can't remember when I last needed a conditioner and quit coloring it years ago. I'm graying slowly. When I was younger, I spent a lot on products that probably made no difference whatsoever, and not just on hair products. I've washed my face with Caress or Dove soap for years and keep my makeup pretty simple. We truly don't fool anybody about our age very much, if we're honest, do we?? No wonder so many people are broke in this country these days, what with the thousands of dollars blown on things that don't matter very much, but to each her own. I'm getting more like my granny every day, and she lived to be 96 every day. Her purse smelled like cough drops, lol. Anyway, thanks for trying out this stuff for me, Brittnee, so I don't have to.

my grandmothers purse always smelled like mothballs. Its true, you start to care less as you get older, you go out without makeup, wear your paint t-shirt to the store, wear flip flops with everything, etc. I think the pig collagen used is the left over pieces so its a good thing because they are gonna make other products with the pig, like food, so this helps the rest of it from being thrown away, it isnt going to waste.

The hairspray is…insane on fine or thin hair that is normal to dry. You have to shower to break that stuff up completely. If you try to do your hair again without washing it, your hair looks yucky and frizzy and dull. It’s more like full on art shellac, not hairspray! Dancers and gymnasts will probably like it. But (and I put this i. A longer comment). Either use it before you wash your face, or use a face guard. It sticks to skin and STAYS! I could never brush it out well, even when I brushed a lot. I felt like it damaged my hair in the end.

My grandmother’s purse always smelled like Wrigley’s double mint gum and Marlboro lights 🤣. I used to use the tea tree shampoo all the time, but my scalp over the past couple of years has just turned into a desert. I will use it though before any hair treatments (about once a month) since it pretty much strips everything out that I’ve used previously to style my hair.

I’m curious about the grey hair one that says it softens and smooths the greys. I might break down and buy it one day. But the 6 different ones I bought from Temu all made our hair soft and clean feeling. They also made our hair feel like it wouldn’t need conditioner but we used conditioner anyway because we have hair that NEEDS it!

I am a TreSemme hairspray user as well. I used it for years and then they changed the formula and put WATER in it. What does water do to curly frizzy hair after you’ve spent time smoothing and straightening? Yes girl. It frizzes and curls it! Finally they got rid of the water and I can use it again. (This happened many years ago.) I also don’t mind the John Freida(?) hairspray because it protects from frizz. I have had the product you showed today for quite some time but I’ve been afraid to use it after reading some of the reviews.😳 But I guess I will give it a shot. I wish you could tell me what to do with my hair. I have gorgeous grey and silver hair. It’s down to my waist. However! It’s terribly thin! I just don’t know what to do and no one has ever been able to help me with it!😭

@MountainPearls5 ай бұрын
I have normal to dry, fine thin hair (just a lot of it) and I felt like this stuff (Elizavecca) weighed my hair down and just…ick. It didn’t work well for me (especially compared to the L’Oréal Everpure and Garnier). The only product I liked was a leave in…but it smelled like grape soda and hung around a long time. The hairspray will stay…and that isn’t brushing out completely. So use it the day of or before you wash your hair. I have to use a clarifying conditioner to make it feel like it’s all gone. I imagine gymnasts or dancers would like ir. Make sure to use a face shields or put makeup on after you spray it (because you’ll need to wash your face) as it sticks to skin and stays. I REALLY like the Garnier Fructis Line too (and I’m not normally a Garnier fan. I used to vehemently hate the stuff). My sister convinced me to try it, and it’s the best thing I’ve used on my hair and saved 6 inches of it after bleach from a badly done ombré (or what was supposed to be an ombré color). It, and the L’Oréal Everpure Filler/Treatment line, is a dupe for the Redken Citric Acid or even Keratase Lines (L’Oréal owns those lines and duped their own dupes before anyone else could-which is pretty genius). Those Serums are awesome! As well and the gel is good for a blow dry type cream. I mix the strengthening/filling serums with the hydrating on. I also use the hydrating shampoo and conditioner after the treatment so I get the hydration I need too (while still getting the benefit of the Citric Acid Complex). It works so well (and it smells so good…better than the L’Oréal Everpure…imo). As a teacher, it’s crazy affordable (and lasts a long time while being sulfate free). It’s really the best I can get for my budget. As for snail mucin, I’ve recently learned that when the snails it comes from aren’t healthy and happy (get upset about something or sick) they will release toxic mucin that can’t be used (I think it’s a different color too). SO…seems like they’re happy? I guess. There is also a filtration system they go through (sort of like pasteurization with milk) so it’s not like you are rubbing pure snail snot, straight from the snail, on your face. And even if I was…EH. As long as the snail is okay, why not use their mucus? They used to put whale vomit in perfumes (I’m serious!) Both are better than what they do to silk worms! It’s done great things for my combo-dry skin. I don’t know what sort of blood magic type witchcraft those little snails are practicing…but that stuff hydrates my skin , makes me glowy and younger looking and clears up adult acne (and my 13 y/o niece, with oily skin, had had her acne greatly reduced. She used the one with Niacinimide). She uses it as a nighttime moisturizer and before sunscreen. It has some sort of anti microbial peptide, apparently. When I do get a pimple it clears up super fast (and is usually smaller). They use it on burn patients to promote healing. (I don’t know if it’s the COS RX type stuff…just snail mucin in general). A few studies show it *might* help rebuild collagen (but the jury is still out). Either way, like the Oxford Comma, the proverbial they would have to pry it from my cold, dead, lifeless hands. (Yeah, I know I’m a skin care/hair care nerd. Leave me alone, y’all! I need to know about where what I’m using comes from, stuff in it, why it’s in it, ANd get the best deal. Otherwise, I get twitchy).

I just wanted to say that reputable skincare brands (and in particular CosRX) DO NOT harm snails when collecting their mucin. I adore snail mucin skincare, but I would not support snail killing for anti-aging. I've been intrigued about this hair brand for a long time. Thanks for reviewing it. Heard good things about the Garnier line you mentioned.
