Some final thoughts as you refresh your house for 2025. I don’t recall seeing any Christmas videos as thoughtful, heartwarming and absolutely magical as your series of videos for Christmas 2024. Like others have commented, I appreciate all the work (so much work!) I imagine packing up is an emotional experience as well. Time goes quickly and you stop to enjoy all the seasons, holidays and milestones. That’s really a life well spent when all is said and done. Happy New Year to you and your sweet pups.🇨🇦🇨🇦

What a coincidence. I just finished putting away all the Christmas decorations today and vacuumed the house. I was contemplating just leaving it up for another week but felt like I needed to start the new year fresh and without all the clutter. I always feel a little sad taking down the Christmas decorations for some reason. It's like the final good bye to the old year.

Oh! Putting away is the only down side to Christmas. You never complain. Your storage system makes it so much better. You are Christmas on two feet! Your personality comes through in your videos and that’s why I watch. You seem like you have a happy nature that is genuinely in you. Not a lot of ppl have that. You are not a Debbie Downer or Negative Nellie . Even if you were it sure doesn’t show. Plus you have such a dry sense of humor that ii find hilarious. You inspire me so much. For some reason I think ppl are curious about your personal life and you never let us see. That is so smart for your brand. The unknown is more appealing to me, I think. I don’t usually throw out a lot of compliments but for you I will. I wish you the best you tube future. You are special.

I've been putting off taking down Christmas until tomorrow. And dreading it. I like how sort your bins. I see that defining the décor by type rather than room and allows you to make the same décor look different each year by shopping the bins in category rather than by room. I completely understand! It can definitely be a challenge to navigate a busy schedule. I personally set aside the first weekend at the beginning of every year to take holiday decor down. So this was my Saturday and the trees came down on Sunday. This is what works best for me. I sacrifice a weekend but having it all done makes me feel accomplished and the house feels so fresh afterwards 😊

I spent time in Kyle and Wimberley over the holidays near your neck of the woods and thought of you. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Brittney! I can't believe Christmas and New Years has already passed. This year it just flew by! Your fur babies know they can just sit on Mom's lap, look cute and do nothing for lots of attention! I leave my small fir trees and garland, fur pillows, throws, framed snow scenes and snowflakes out for January since that and February are our winter months here, but remove all Christmas. This year I'm leaving my naked tree up too, since it's my 1st tree in 18 years. I'm anxious to see how you decorate next!

You’re very fortunate to be able to use your garage for storage. Here in Orlando, it’s a bit of a challenge. The first year I moved here anything with glue, or soft plastic melted. I was also caught unaware by the roaches that got in to my containers just like yours. I still have nightmares about that. Lol. Anyway, I got smart and invested in some great air tight containers from the Container Store and can store ceramic, metal and fabric without any issues. I also throw in a couple of those little packets that keep the moisture out and it’s been great so far.

Thanks for sharing. I decorated in a winter wonderland so only have to pack a few things down and change some pillow covers. I took one tree down this weekend and the main tree will be coming down soon probably tomorrow.

Ah yes...the take down... not easy but good organization helps! If you pack things correctly they will last for years as you said. I haven't bought any new decor in about five years because my budget doesn't allow it and also I love my older things. I have a lot of vintage Christmas decor that I cherish and would never get rid of. It's been used for years in my parents and grandparents homes so that's what I love it. I always put on the music and love to listen to the oldies and classic rock from the 70's while I take down. I always like seeing you take down because of your organization and also your great attitude. I, like you, just plug away at it until I'm finished. Sometimes it takes a few days but I manage as do you. Thank you for showing us your process because it's a really important one and a great teaching moment! I look forward to your Valentine's Day decor coming up!♥

Thank you for sharing your tips on packing away Christmas. That’s great tips. I like how you u pack it away carefully & how you place the items in categories. Here’s something I have done for years to help me that I wanted to share. I find a box that fits whatever I pack away in each room & sometimes even combine rooms just to fill up a box. I also write notes about what’s in it & where I placed it in case I forget. Sometimes for me that helps me if I liked how I decorated it the year before. I don’t always do that bc I like to spark a new imagination on how to decorate a room different. Thank you for your tips! I’m going to try it that way to change things up from the norm. 😊

I can appreciate the time and care you take to store all your ornaments, trees and ribbon. Personally, I can't just toss my things into bins. Similar to your suggestions I've had some of my items for years. It took me a long time to accumulate what I have so I do agree it's important to store the items with care.

I think a dolly would help immensley. Stack 3-4 bins on it and transport from house to garage vs carrying 1 bin at a time.
