Wow im so amazed by the disrespect of the audience !! Specially being fellow musicians....Brix and The brilliant Mark E Smith certainly deserve more cred than what was recived just there.....*cringe* so diappointing he wouldnt have cared though, its just the notion of the audience not caring that surprises me....they prob dont respect Brix, but its Mark, cmon give a bit guys

Mark E Smith was too smart for the Music Industry. Probably would've been more suited to writing free verse as some stream of consciousness Northern poet. A kinda Manc Kerouac But I'm glad he used rock n roll as his vehicle, given he pioneered something original, and gave people who generally wouldn't give abstract poetry a second glance, a path into higher forms of culture. I mean what other band would've actually done a ballet, and what's more - done something remarkable with it? Plus we should give credit to all the unsung musicians and producers who did a great job at interpreting his vision.

Beautiful tribute from Brix, says a lot about the type of man he really was in private for an ex-wife to speak so highly of you. Although he had his faults like the rest of us. A very, very tough character when it came to the group and a man who did not suffer fools gladly. Although I reckon he was a big softy in private, such a shame he never had children but I guess The Fall was his ‘child’. An amazing legacy of groundbreaking music left for us to enjoy. Made me chuckle about the Christmas card to the NME, typical sardonic northern humour. Rest in Power Mark from a fellow Mancunian . 👊🏻👊🏻

Brix is just Courtney Love ugly now and lost that 'rock chick' sparkle. Mark would definitely have had no truck with this as the Fall was always a cool group. The rhetoric just washes over the post millenials present in the audience. It is really corny to say it but you truly would have had to have been there at the time to fully appreciate 'the wrath of Marks bombast'. These words are just pure retrospection today. God help us now as i place Mark on the same revered pedestal as Zappa, Beefheart and Morisson. Yes he was that special! RIP MES.
