Good morning 😊 I love that new wire. Very classy retro. I may need to try some on my very crunchy vs2 😅 I'll be looking through your videos for a controller rebuilding video, too. Get some rest!

Love that retro-looking wire! Thankfully you didn't have to deal with those #%^ ring clamps on the light fixture.

Yeah, those rings are a pain, but on the larger fixtures they are easier than the bugeye fixtures found on 99's

Bob, I will definitely use the vintage wire to rewire my everyday 201-2 lamp! 👏 I use an electronic foot pedal to replace my carbon-stack foot pedal. At the time, it was rumored that the electronic rheostat gives more precise speed control. Am I a horrible person? 😳. In your experience, is this rumor true? Bill in Ohio

Well Bill, I happen to prefer the modern, electronic controllers to the originals. I find not only better speed controller, but also a lot more comfortable under foot.

What do you have on leather treadle belts? Good to see you back😊
@BobFowlerWorkshopАй бұрын
My conversion to synthetic treadle belts is admittedly a recent occurrence. While the synthetics are a bit more expensive, it's my belief that the long term benefits far outweigh the slight increase in cost, not to mention the ease of making and correcting the length. I am using a hollow synthetic belting material that is joined internally with a barbed connector - no external staples involved, no need to punch precise holes for said staples, thus creating a much stronger joint with zero chance of a poorly placed staple hole that weakens the belt.

@@BobFowlerWorkshop Something like "Roundthane"? It's a machine belt we used to work with on spindle machines? Suppliers?
