I'mma just say that in season one, when freya first found bell in the streets bell felt her intense gaze piercing straight into him. And when he looked around to try and find the source of the intense gaze is when syr sponteneously pops up, and they meet for the first time.

LN reader here, so I'll clarify (without spoilers!) Whenever you see Syr at the hostess, it's actually Freya Whenever you see Freya 90% of the time it's Freya. Only rarely is it Horn/Helun in Freya's form. Freya only appears as Syr or Freya, she never takes on Horns form. Horn can be all three. But the only time we have actually seen Horn as Syr was when she asked Freya for the date. Before delivering the letter Horn and Bell had never met. at the end of episode one, horn was the syr that went to ask Freya premission to go on a date with Bell Horn and Freya's minds blend due to their bond, so Horn goes crazy as we see. She both loves Bell as much as Freya does, but she loves Freya and a goddess should be a goddess, hence trying to kill Bell so Freya won't change. And boy do we have more to come, this is just getting started!

If Freya was Syr the whole time, I find it fascinating that she has been comfortable working as an ordinary waitress all those years, something I don’t see the graceful Freya we’ve known until now. And during the fight against the Chunibyo elf he said that Ryu apparently is also someone dear to the Goddess, gotta remember Syr (aka Freya) was the one who found Ryu mortally wounded in that ally and nursed back to health, it seems like there’s a kinder side to Freya in contrast to her attraction towards Bell.

Freya as a Goddess of love and beauty can charm people with just her presence which is why whenever she walks around Orario she has to wear a cloak. Being Syr gives Freya the chance to actually live a somewhat normal/free life outside of the limits being the Goddess Freya is enforced upon her.

In this world, gods seal away most of their divine power to live like mortals. However, mortals can still sense their presence, which is why they can differentiate between a god and a mortal just by looking at them. Very few gods can fully seal their divine power. When they do, they completely resemble mortals, and their appearance changes accordingly. This is why Bell still doesn’t realize that his grandfather is the god Zeus. When Freya fully seals her divine power, her mortal form is "Syr," the waitress. The original "Syr" was Horn, but she gave her name to Freya, Horn got a strong will to look like Freya and she get a magic that allows her to transform into a goddess (Freya, including her mortal form). The Freya we see most of the time in the series is the real Freya, which is why Mamamia complains that Syr is always skipping work. Horn manages the Familia, while the true Freya is with Bell and Ryu. When Horn takes on Freya’s form, she shares her senses, thoughts, and emotions, allowing her to manage the Familia without the real Freya needing to be present. Spoiler below Horn shares the same feelings as Freya, so... ;)

Personally I can’t say I didn’t see it coming at all or that I hadn’t my suspicions since season 1, but I can say for sure it was much more complicated and amusing than I had ever imagined…😍 As I predicted Freya and Syr have always been the same person (more or less) at least if we speak about the Goddess Freya and the “Syr” who is in love with him… Freya knew that she couldn’t get close to Bell in her “Goddess form” so she impersonated “Syr” with the help of this assistant (Horn, that btw, like Syr, is one of the many names that Freya has got in Norse mythology) that in the meanwhile took her place… That would also mean that the “Freya” glaring down at Bell with that nasty look in ep 2 was, in fact, Horn disguised as Freya (now it totally makes sense) I respect Freya’s feelings (and I also hugely respect Bell for being honest) but I still can’t completely sympathize with her: especially considering what we saw in the last few seconds… I get that she’s a goddess and won’t take a “no” for answer, also I understand that is EXTREMELY painful to be rejected by the person you love, but still that’s not the way to do it… Freya is the definition of a “SORE LOSER”😂😂😂 P.S. I was right when I said that, when she was confronting Ryu about her feelings, she was being manipulative and taking advantage of Ryu’s loyalty and “meek” personality (at least when it comes to romantic matters)… So if she really wanted Bell all for herself, and didn’t apparently have any regard for her feelings, WHY should Ryu show any “mercy” to Syr/Freya? COME ON RYUUU, GO FOR IT!!!😍❤️ Now I’m genuinely terrified of what’s going to happen to Bell…😰 He will have to stop Freya and her plans, can he do it? Will Ryu and/or AI’s help him (even if I feel that with that wound maybe Ryu could be out of commission for a while…😢💔) Also poor Ryu… she was really facing depression there… She probably wasn’t this broken inside since she lost her family… She really looked like she was hearing the “call of the void…”😢😢😢💔💔💔

the Sword oratoria anime is only one season, and it focus on the Loki Familia, this also a light novel series having 14 volume with the 15 coming in January. the manga version is also very good

From what I could Understand, Horn is the OG syr that freya found as a child, and freya took Syr’s name and freya gave her the name “horn”. So the “Syr” we’ve seen until now has been freya. (This is all my own assumptions as a anime only) which also confuses me, as we seen “syr” or someone resembling her talk to freya in a earlier episode so I honestly don’t know

I’ve been WAITING for this reacts to help me unpack the damn episode! I think Freya’s Familia had organized Syr(Freya)’s protection detail, hence all of them being 20 on a scale of 1-10 for being extra with surveillance and making sure the date was perfect for Syr. Now, Ottar(sent to Bell by Freya) was the only one who knew about the Syr(Horn), seeing as he directed Bell to her at the gazebo(at Freya’s request in accordance with her agreement with Horn in that scene), while as soon as rest of the familia realized what she was doing they immediately went to remove her soul from her body. Side note based on the mention of Haruhime: I really think it’s fucked up her former familia members have not informed her of her intact virginity, knowing goddamn well she’s been tormenting herself for being a used plaything who isn’t worthy! Like damn, ease that fox girl’s mind, her SOUL!

2 key points I had picked up on from this ep. - Freya guild is a "kill first, ask questions later" type of guild, and ngl I feel like the ONLY REASON Horn was even allowed to speak is because she had survived the first attack, cause y'all seen how cat boy had threw that spear straight at her head without any warning. - they WILL NOT explain themselves if they don't HAVE too, hell cat boy didn't even say anything to his sister. I feel like elf boy just talk alot which is why he had barely explained what was going on, just enough to the point we could understand what was happening. That all I got, but one more random thing about anime in general is that annoying, but i hate when they put song lyrics so close to speaking subtitles lol, i can't be keeping up with both of them.

So from what I understand is that when Horn gave her name to Freya, Freya gave her the ability to become Freya which also gives her the ability to Transform. So whenever Freya wants to live her life as Syr, Horn takes Freyas place by changing to her. Freya wanted to become someone that she thought Bell would love and appreciate, at the end of the day Bell is always going to be Bell. The one thing that leaves me clueless is why Freya's charm didn't work on Bell.......Idk any of his skills that have something to do with that so maybe some undiscovered passive skill that he has that he doesn't know about. With Freya being a goddess I feel like her abilities and charm is about to crack open this season and things are actually going to be BATSHIT CRAZY.

Bells realis phrase actually blocks divine influence like charms and stuff, we see this when bell is captured by ishtar in season 2, where he resists her divine charms and runs away embarassed but not charmed which leaves ishtar angry.

So, since S1 Freya was Syr, the original Syr is now Horn, Horn became Syr only when she asked Freya permission to ask Bell on a date and when she tried to stab him. Horn did those two things because she has a special bond with Freya’s mind which made her go crazy, so both loves Bell but wants Freya to remain ‘pure’ at the same time. My head hurts. Also I hope the girls aren’t dead, or at the very least not Ryu.
