@footballlife1543 seems that the people who liked my comment agree with my take. The dude could have spent more time trying to make more of an impact instead of interviewing guys like Jake Ferguson. He was a miniature version of Parsons last year in that regard.

Yea send fehoko to the commanders and bring back John Ridgeway.. Philips is way more athletic / disruptive than Hankins and he plays with an edge ..can get fired up. He is also 2 years younger.

They're cheaper ,of course... and a bit older just like Stephen likes em. Lawson asked for more money than the other ends the 1st time around. They do seem to be as serviceable as our other historical veteran signings over the last few years. I'm crossing my fingers that they make it through the regular season because we need the pieces.

I think Broaddus is off on Carl Lawson ,,, I saw the Tape and i think he has very good above average pass rush ability , both Power and speed....

I really hope the Philips move works out, but he had a 36.8% missed tackle rate last year, and of course take PFF with a grain of sale, but he also had a career-worst 35.8 PPF grade, including just 30.0 in run defense. He also was not impressive in Giants camp - was taking all 2nd-3rd team snaps in camp, and was apparently beaten out by a low round pick from a prior year and a rookie UDFA. While he did start the Lions preseason game, it seems like it was a showcase for a trade since there had already been rumors for a week he wasn't going to make the roster.
