You should do a video on the weirdest/craziest broadheads on Amazon. I have seen some really weird looking broadheads online. It would be cool to see how they preform.

I prefer the swacker. I’ve used the 2” mechanical and I’m a huge fan. I don’t see how the head won’t open but if it doesn’t, you still have the cut of a small fixed blade. Things extremely accurate and super lethal. I tried the swacker fixed blades, work great as well not a lot of blood at the hit sight as the mechanicals so I’m switching back to the mechanicals but I love swacker.

I agree ive harvested about a dozen deer with shwacker and ive gotta say only once have i had the issue of a blade not opening, shot a deer a tad high top of lungs and only 1 side opened but deer still only went about 60 yds.....have had some issues with arrows going in and deflecting off of bone but with correct shot placement so far the shwacker has been tried and true.

@@turdfergusonoutdoors5070 going to use some 125g shwackers out of my crossbow this year. After all the research I’ve done these broadheads sure have a good reputation. Like the original commenter said, they still have a 1”+ cut wound if one or both blades dont deploy.

@@Az_hunter22 I don’t understand how the broad head doesn’t open. Mechanically it doesn’t make sense, BUT if the swacker doesn’t open, it still Should preform like a small Diameter 2 blade mechanical, as long as you have good shot placement.

@@mnb120792 I can understand that I mainly bow hunt coues deer and there skin is a lot harder to penetrate with a mechanical so I mainly use a fixed for my main broad head now but swacker for coyotes that seems to do the trick

The Shwacker broadhead is designed to open up after it gets past the ribs, not cutting through the fur, fat and ribs, so its always a fresh cut through the artery's.

Everyone seems to have a favorite broadhead that they swear by, I personally believe you should test their flight like you did and just see what flies the best with your bow, the more confidence you have in your shot seems to matter the most, personally I'd use swacker for Elk and I'd go with G5 or Annihilaters for deer depending on what my bow likes.

You can sharpen the annihilator which is a bonus because you can make sure you have the sharpest tool for the most ethical kill to fill the freezer. I must say, the depth of penetration of the annihilator and montec was much deeper. That's more torque for the shot just in case a shoulder gets in the way. I can't wait to see what you do with the annihilator!

I've been shooting Rages since they first came out with the original grey heads that had o rings to hold the blades and have never broke a blade. That being said I shoot 3 blade, maybe that's got something to do with it as the blades on the 2 blades are longer then the ones on a 3 blade (making the blades more "flimsy" and susceptible to breaking?) But I've shot alot of deer (some I've hit the shoulder blades) and have had all pass through, a few turkeys, and my 280 lb dressed black bear through both shoulder blades and have never broke a blade. May be luck, maybe coincidence idk 🤷‍♂️. But I know alot of people who shoot rages and have zero complaints I highly recommend them. Also if I were shoot a fixed blade I'd go back to shooting Wasp fixed blades. That's what I shot before switching to rages and absolutely loved them. Very underrated broadhead that you dont hear alot of people talk about. They use the same steel for the blades as havalon knife company. Actually I believe they have a head called Havalons after havalon knives. Wasp Mortems are great heads as well

Dont shoot swhacker, shot those alot, but they are always bent, or broken. I center punched a rib, it broke the blades off and had to get a follow up shot because it only hit first lung barely. I then moved to montec and muzzy, still wasnt satisfied with the structural wedge they are, not allowing you to really penetrate the shoulder. Now i shoot single bevels, the quality of the steel and overall thickness, from it being 200gr leads to great durability. they also fly perfect because i tuned my arrows. I shot a 400lb bear at 63 yards this year, it moved bc its an animal, ended up hitting the knuckle of both shoulders. It split both of them almost in half and proceeded to burry into the dirt. the bear hit the ground like i shot it with a rifle, struggled to get up and tumbled 25 yards. I didnt plan to hit him where i did, but having that heavy arrow with a quality broadhead capable of just what it did, is the difference in that bear being a rug or just running off wounded. The total arrow weight was 696gr shot out of a 55lb bow.

Broadheads are determined by your setup. Light and fast fixed if you are using slow and heavy mechanicals. It takes an insane amount of energy to open a mechanical arrow tuning is also extremely important for precision. Its never just take arrows and bolts out of a box and fling down range. Especially not for hunting.
