Broadstone Station, Phibsborough

Broadstone Railway Station in Phibsborough opened in 1847 and ran trains until 1937. Broadstone was the Dublin terminal of the Midland Great Western Railway Company, which ran trains to Galway.

When the Broadstone station closed to passengers in 1937, the engine shed and works continued to maintain locomotives, becoming the sole depot for steam locos in the late1950s. With the withdrawal of steam locomotives finally in the early 60s, the works became fully devoted to road vehicles, buses and trucks.

Beautiful old building but its a sin that the view from the luas station is blocked out by a new horrible wall could have built some nice railings
