This number literally is a parade in the movie. Why not bring it outside and walk them through the parade lineup like what they did with the Funny Girl number last year.

Because CBS can’t do that. NBC is the one that can do that due to their agreement with Macy’s in organizing the parade. CBS can broadcast the parade since its uses public streets, but CBS has no input on the layout of the parade or logistics like NBC has.

It’s totally flat. You can’t just put a camera in front of a stage production. It dies. You could see him struggling to connect & It didn’t work. And what’s the point of being part of a Thanksgiving parade unless YOU ARE IN THE PARADE. DIsney knows this.

This performance has a whole 1 minute missing from other filmed performances i've seen. I don't know if it's always like that, but before there was another segment with sword men between "to gawk and grovel and stare at Prince Ali" and "he's got 95 white persian monkeys"... Is this always the case ?

They probably modified it for the parade "performance." Similar to how Beetlejuice modifies its lyrics whenever they do a "live" performance. Except for Macy's, Beetlejuice was recorded and lip-synced same as others, while his performance on The Today Show was sung live and in-person. Anyway, point is, due to time constraints and the parade schedule, blah blah blah, they probably had to modify the scene.

Interesting detail : at the beginning there are 6 female dancers. In other filmed performances, there was only 4. After that on the 2nd part "strong as 10 regular men", there are 4 female dancers. In other filmed performances, there are only 2.

Man, I wish Disney will release the special West End filmed performance of Disney's *"ALADDIN: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL",* were filmed shot on location at the Prince Edward Theatre in London with the special filmed cast from the original Broadway, West End, Sydney and US Tour productions including Ainsley Melham, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Isabelle "Izzy" McCalla, Brian Gonzales, Brandon O'Neill, Robert Tripolino, Irvine Iqbal, Don Darryl Rivera and the one and only, JONATHAN FREEMAN as Jafar (from the original Disney movie) will be streaming on Disney+ in 2024 for celebrating 10th Anniversary of ALADDIN on Broadway in New York.

Personally, I think that this guy is slightly better than the others before him. He sounded way way way better when i saw him during the actual musical. I even enjoyed David Wright Jr as Aladdin more than I do with the usual. But that’s just my opinion
