Honestly this still doesn’t quite capture what Jordin brings to the stage with this song. Two hours of emotional build-up as Jenna pours out of her onstage in this song and I’ve never been in a crowd that audibly gasped and all mouthed “oh my god” the way they did when she reached the climax of this song. I’m thankful to have gotten to experience it. Unreal

Somehow she managed to sound as though she were sobbing throughout the song, all while maintaining excellent vocals and pitch. And it’s like... we’ve all been there. Sobbing for the person we once were, the chance we once had, for the life we once lived. And because of that, it hits just so much deeper when Jordin sings it.

This woman's voice still sounds like liquid gold. I remember watching her on American Idol as a kid and so many people disliked her because she was heavier set. I also sing and was heavier growing up and I admired her so much. Glad to see she's doing amazing things. I got to see Shoshana Bean in this which was amazing but I imagine this was equally powerful. I do like her version. And that's really what I like about hearing so many different versions of songs is every artist puts their own spin and interpretation. But to me the best version of Jenna is Shoshana Bean's.. 💕

Gel I heard she was really good. Have you heard Jessie Mueller or Sara Bareilles? They were fantastic. But everyone puts their own unique spin on it and they’re all wonderful. I think it’s a testament to the song, and the director

@@GraciesMom I have heard their versions too. And of course Sara Bareilles is like no one else.. and I do like their versions.. And that's what I love about listening to different artists.. But there's just something about Shoshana's versions of songs that really gets me.. she's always full of emotion and she's an amazing story teller.. 💕

@GEL I haven’t been lucky enough to see Ms Bean. I’ve heard great thing’s about her and she and Sara sang a stripped down version of “Ive had the time of my life” from dirty dancing. She has a lovely personality. I wish I saw her in Wicked!

Those RUNS! Also, I feel the “trapped” feeling from her. You know? I can feel that she feels trapped.
