For everyone commenting on his weight, I believe I heard in an interview that he chose to loose weight for Dear Evan Hansen as a character choice! He perceived Evan as someone who would be skinnier. Thats just what I heard :)

He had a really intense diet too. He had to cut a lot of food that could affect his ability of cry a lot 8 times a week, it probably had an impact too.
