Broan Ai Series B160H75RS Installation and Performance at -40F

After having our old HRV continued to freeze the core, I replaced it with this Broan unit. I am happy with the new unit and it handles the arctic well.

Anyway, I Have a Question, Are you Supplying/Exhausting from More than One Area in your House? If So, How do you Maintain Exhaust Suction Pressure and Supply Air? I'm Noticing Drops in Air Movement After I Tee Off To Any Location.

02:09 About the Filter Situation, I Went through the same dilemma, Hard for Me to Justify $55 for a Non-Washable filter that'll go inside the unit, Yet the Intake will be open and Sucking in Bugs and sorts of Mess. So I Just bought a Thicker Merv 8 Filter, Cut it to Size and put it right behind My intake Vent Hood, that Way it Filters Everything Before it Even makes into the Unit's Core. Before that It was Sucking in Bugs and Making it all the way inside My House. A little Info for anyone who cares to know.

Does the unit connect to the furnace is any way? Like do you run the furnace fan when the ERV runs or is the ERV independent of the furnace?

My system does not, but the Broan HRV has that option. I have hydronic heat and it's a separate system.
