Steve Smith is the first person I’ve watched analyze Brock Bowers
@BoKnows-34Ай бұрын
I see you 89…. I always loved how you played the game. As a season ticket holder, I watched all of your games in Rice Eccles stadium. You weren’t 89 back then, (#7) but even way back then, you were always a joy to watch with the way that you played the game. I always wished that the great Al Davis had drafted you back in 2001. In my mind, you were born to be a Raider with how you always played with that chip on your shoulder. It would have been so cool to watch you play with Jerry Rice & Tim Brown back in 2001 - 2002. I’ll never forget the “Ice Up Son!” game when you dominated Aqib Talib. I’ve got mad respect for you 89. You played the game the way it’s supposed to be played. I think you are a Hall of Fame player and deserve to wear that gold jacket. I hope one day soon you get a knock on the door saying you are a Hall of Famer. On that route you mentioned, Bowers did look like a young Ol’ Head 87, but I’m going to take you back to an even Older Head 80 and that’s none other than Jeremy Shockey. The kid doesn’t have Shockey’s swag, but I turned on an old Shockey highlight tape from his rookie year and I couldn’t believe how similar they are in their movements. Take a look and tell me if you see it too. Also, would you do me a favor? I know you go to Training Camps. If you get to go to the Raiders training camp next year, will you pull #11 to the side and offer to give him some of your wisdom? The kid has talent, but he needs someone that is his size that dominated the game the way you did to show him how to do it. Maybe give him some pointers on some things that he’s not seeing? He looked really good in camp this year, but he has been M.I.A. in 9 out of the 10 games so far. I thought for sure he was going to have a good year based on how he looked in Training Camp. Anyway, thank you 89 for all of the memories.

Yes, but Kelce is bigger. He doesn’t need as much extra separation. His size alone creates it.

I think Bowers is going to be better. He's playing with Minshew and AOC. AOC is much better than Minshew, but he's not playing with Mahomes. That would almost be unfair. He's faster and arguably a better blocker than Kelce.

The only upside with him at the raiders is he’ll get his stats because he’s like the number one option.
