We complain about our oline but Stroud is 2nd in getting sacked this year. Mahomes is 11th and Purdy is 17th. The frustration is Stroud and Mahomes have winning records with a better overall team while Purdy has a losing record. We expect Brock to carry this team, but the special teams disaster, penalties and injuries are hard to overcome. Onwards

This right here. That first sentence. CJ is a sack machine. Who’s 4th this year? That’s right Sam Darnold. Nothing pained 49ers fans more than Jimmy G running 20 yards the opposite way of LOS and giving us huge losses in yardage. The thing I love about Purdy is he is thinking and moving all the time. Pocket collapses he runs either to the sides or further down the field. CJ and Darnold with that O Line will be like watching the Jimmy G sackfest.

Brock Purdy has 3,487 passing yards and ranked 8th in top 10 QB's.....However, the problem is not with the players it is with coaching and detailed in coaching from Kyle Shanahan. Brock Purdy has won NFC Championship title and went to a Superbowl. Let's not give up on Purdy just yet. He is young and he is going to have a bad season. It's the coaching.

@@EmileoCruz Ravens defense is not as good this year as it was last year tho. It was the considered the best last year. This defense, while still better than average, probably shouldn't be completely shutting down a good team with a good qb, so that's very debatable.

@terrybullspellr8319 purdy looked horrible against Kansas City this year. Every time he faces a elite defense he doesn't play well. He's too small for one and he doesn't have a big arm. I'm telling you if it wasn't for his mobility and the way he anticipate throws purdy wouldn't be to good. Don't get me wrong he's good but he will never be great. He's definitely not worth more than MAHOMES.

@EmileoCruz wasn't that the game where he lost all his starting WRs. He was throwing to a bunch of guys he barely plays with. It's probably harder for a QB when the guys your passing to seem to change every a game or two due to injuries. Maholmes sucked that game also, so pointing out individual games really means nothing, especially when you look at the overall situations when those games happened. Who's to say who will or won't be elite? It's not written in stone yet. Shroud may have the better physical tools, but there is no guarantee that he will be elite nor is there any guarantee that Purdy won't be.

Age is a double edge sword in the NFL. One is the experience the other side is injuries. Some of the older athletes are one injury away from losing half a season to the entire season.

It amazes me how much crap Brock takes compared with someone like CJ Stroud. This is Brock’s worst season by far and his team is really deplete of weapons. Yet, he STILL has a better passer rating the Stroud, who up until last week has 2 top level WR’s. I watched that game today and saw him miss wide open guys, skip the ball off the turf and throw a pick - that wasn’t even close to the receiver.

It's funny now, but look how the stock of both these fine young QB's has fallen. Last year they could do little wrong and the sky was the limit, but thing's change. Was either completely to blame for their team's struggles? Hardly. There are so many other aspects of the game...like poor offensive lines, defense, a running game and multiple huge injuries. I believe both will be better next year but have to have help to get their teams back to the playoffs.

49ers Oline ranked 12th in the NFL Texans Oline ranked 27th. Purdy is top 5 in pass protection time in the pocket Stroud is 14th. All that bad Oline play for Stroud and he still has a winning record. No excuses unlike the purdimites for purdy.

Kyle screwed up when he got rid of Trey Lance. It's Patrick Mohames not Kansas City. Trey Lance tried to train with Patrick Mohames quarterback coach. But Kyle wanted Trey to learn behind Jimmy G and Brock Purdy and Brian Grease. All trash. Stop comparing people to Brock. Brock is an average Quarterback.its the team.

There are only a handful of QBs in the NFL right now that I would want over Purdy, even with this season. Brock could have played better in spots, but overall, he has not been the big problem in most of our games, and he’s been a big reason when we’ve won and been competitive.
