Mr. Weingartner, you were mentioned and complimented by one of my heroes yesterday, David Vizard. In my book, that officially makes you someone that needs to be listened to. Well done Sir !!!!

I drop shipped these heads from Jegs to Eric. With the supply issues these were the only budget 70cc heads I could get my hands on at a decent price. I needed to have the springs changed for Hydraulic Flat Tappet since these heads were setup for roller. His name kept coming up when I was searching and after talking with him I knew letting him do the work was the right decision. I could have done a spring swap myself but letting an Expert like Eric do the work made sense. All I can say is Eric has been outstanding to deal with and truly has passion for this. Can’t wait to see what he gets out of them with blending the chambers.

I just built a destroked 377 using a 400 block using these heads. I have a Howard's hyd.roller cam with .237/.245 @.050 ,.560/.560 lift with correct Howard's springs and lifters. I'm using 1.6 ratio rockers to bring lift up to .597 lift. Also using a Victor jr. Intake and 750 double pumper. Hope this cam choice will work good with these heads. It's what Howard's recommended.

I'm using a similar cam Solid Roller 236-242@.050. 570 lift 110 lsa. 383 , 220cc pro topline heads. Doesn't really rev as hard as I'd think a 377 would like , mine starts loosing steam around 6200, runs very well tho. Hopefully yours works out great for you. I built another 383 and decided to jump up 2 sizes in the cam family ,248-254,, .610 lift with 1.6 rocker , yet to run it tho..

The shifting on the turbo 350 is controlled by vac and pod on trans has adjustment screw to speed up shift i think its flat head transgo 69-81 shift kit works better than B&M super with torq converter they upgraded to like B&m we made them bring it back lol its awesomeits like 70 bucks at summit

Great video really nice transmission also well I put my big block 427 on the dyno last week it's a mild build its about 10.3 to 1 compression afr 265 oval port heads a Howard's 235x241@50 and 618 duration with a Victor Jr. And a 950 it made 661 hp 605 torque not bad for such a small camshaft it's on a 108 lsa. I was going to pit it in my 88 monte carlo SS but really thinking a S10 might be better just don't want it to be to nose heavy what are your thoughts on this? Do you think it would be to nose heavy ? Have a great weekend. Your friend from Louisiana Rick 427

Wow, I bought some heads on Ebay, they don't say Brodix on them in the casting, but they look almost identical to these IK series heads

Back when i worked in a transmission shop word had it that the powerglide only eats 15 horsepower, The turbo 350 was like 30 to 35 horses and i think the turbo 400 was 45 horsepower.

Does a smooth CNC finished chamber vs. a rough as-cast chamber matter for safety, performance, reliability or efficiency ?

I've seen some engine builds and dynos where Dart pro 1 sbc heads makes less hp than similar heads. I wonder if their flow numbers lie?

I am enjoying these IK reviews. I have the cnc (wild things or what ever) 210's so I figure it is pretty close in numbers. Somewhere around the 200's and the 215's. Not expecting much, it is just a little bracket motor.

yeh im intrested in the powergilde used less power your torque range has to be bigger .. it makes sense but if your spinning the bags with a 3 speed maybe thats all u need.. i have a t400 and ls1 5.7 trying to fit to a car but the original engine id a rb30 that i could chase too

I like the content Eric. Any time you can mention "this head will support this much horsepower" as a general comment it would be appreciated. Those heads you tested today...it would have been interesting to know if they could support NA 500 -600 -700hp?
@AliceEmpireBreadfan2 жыл бұрын
He probably doesn't because it's a lot more complicated than that. On an engine dyno, generic rule of thumb is 2hp/cfm MAX na. So peak 250cfm, 500hp max NA with enough engine under the heads. But that's super generic and doesn't mean you'd ever hit that number or that you can't make more. Plus a horsepower target typically isn't all that important, but there's way more to that than a youtube comment can handle. A better suggestion, I'd think, would be what application you'd want to use the head for, ie large displacement, towing, drag race, etc.

Dear eric , what do you think of the STS T1- CNC 227 CC heads because it shows 303 cfm @ O.5OO" lift intake and the exhaust is better than the 1X and the same as the STS- T1- 215 CC cnc head. And with the smaller 2.08" intake valve attributing to CNC of course compared to the 2.10" valve in the 1X head but not the 215 head that also has the 2.08" valve. Can i make an IK or dragonslayer head as good or better low lift numbers , the low lift numbers on the 227 CC cnc head is up also. it shows 154 cfm intake at O.2OO" and 116 cfm exhaust at O.2OO" respectively. Well and they do not show O.1OO" lift cfm numbers at all. The numbers seem the best right in the range i am need most from O.1OO" through O.6OO" lifts, although i wish i had the O.1OO" flow numbers for thorough's sake. Oh well i know its just great to see everything that is happening absolutely everywhere you know what i mean? like the port energy , swirl (present a little bit) , efficiency etc. Well i am doing a 388 in a stock modded block until i get the brodix block or a world products light weight block. i wonder if the larger 2.10 would be beneficial at O.1OO" through .600 after unshrouding and how much could i unshroud it actually. And the 2.125" valve of the 233 CC head that only gets better at peak lifts above .6OO" lifts. My cam shall only be an XR300HR10 at the max and with 1.6 and 1.65 rockers. LIFTS .1OO .2OO .3OO .4OO .5OO .6OO / .65O .7OO .8OO cfm IN ---- 154 223 270 303 312 / 314 316 --- cfm EX ---- 116 150 185 208 219 / 224 227 ---

Put some gear in that s10 and you will pick up a TON! It just stays in stall too much and kills a bunch of et from the high gear ratio.

Please talk to a tranny guy out there! That turbo 350 most likely just needs an adjustment! Almost every time we went from a smaller 3 speed to powerglide, it lost! I’m sorry I’m a powerglide hater! There fine in low power stuff, but every time people started making power with one, I was usually the moron who had to repair it 🙄! For what your doing there probably fine, but if you adjust that Th350 it will be faster! Nice Job on your videos, even know I know most of this stuff, I still watch your videos all the way through! When I was a kid around smart people, I was taught to shut my mouth & open my ears! You always pickup something! No one knows everything! Hope your Thanksgiving was good!
