Hey bud, I just got done watching your entire series and I wanted to tell you a few things. First, though we’ve never met, I’m legitimately proud of you and what you accomplished both with the Ironman and with T2KO. Secondly, in 2002 I had a skydiving accident and broke my legs, hips and back. I spent the next 22 years bouncing back and forth between being fat and fit. I decided to train for an Ironman in 2025 before I turn 50. I found your channel a few weeks ago after searching for beginner Ironman videos. I felt like I was learning with you and am so stoked for your next one! I’ve run a marathon before but like you were, I’m a complete noob on the bike and in swimming. I know I’m going to perform better and stay more motivated after having watched you. So from all of us inspired old guys out there, thanks and we’ll see you out there!

Thanks for watching man and great to hear you’ve fully recovered! Looking forward to hear you become an Ironman next year 💪🏽❤️

Man, just finished my first triathlon and 70.3 in Chattanooga and I found very similar struggles/lessons learned. My fueling and nutrition throughout my bike really hurt my last 1/4 of the bike and the entire run. I left feeling a very similar way as you man… just knew I left some out there. That being said, I love that you are hopping right back into training and posting! Your videos are some of the best I’ve seen man. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. I would love to hear more and more about nutrition as you learn!! Let’s get back after it🤙🏼

maybe you could do weekly updates mixed with different topics if the week wasn't exciting enough. Also a question: Is editing your full time job?
@brodysearle3 ай бұрын
I’ve been editing and filming majority at the moment as a freelancer, it’s pretty much my every day whilst not being in clinic. However it’s much more stressful in my opinion haha

I really liked the prior style of vlogging your week but i wouldn't be opposed to you talking about a specific subject, some ideas: recovery, scheduling training / work / normal life, how to improve the run / bike / swim, how to deal with motivation / discipline...

Self coaching has worked really well for Sanders….. *cough* To be fair; I’m very biased. I don’t think anyone should go without a coach, especially not early on..
@brodysearle4 ай бұрын
Haha I agree mate but I’ve got plenty of great people around me now to review what I’m doing ☺️
@cockerfamilyadventures18544 ай бұрын
Most age groupers don't need a coach... 300+ a month for a hobby is laughable

@@brodysearle that’s great. Do keep on listening to them because it’s so easy to not listen to yourself and overdo or avoid things you should be doing because they are so annoying 😅 anyway, i’m far too deep in unsolicited advice territory already mate. Sorry for that. I’m not even a very experienced triathlete, i’m just (compared to you) old haha. All the best! I’ll keep on following your progress!

@brodysearleАй бұрын
Honestly I am not sure. But most people I know, everyone but Lachie that I know of, had/has a coach!
