I KNOW I'M LATE and you probably already know the answer, but the teeth are from when he was 6years old, and in the picture of Shay with his snake he's missing two teeth. So obviously that picture is from when Shay was 6years old. And the 7 on his shoes is his SIZE, not his age lol. So 1 year earlier his shoe size was 3 sizes smaller than when he was 6years old, so that made his shoe size size 4 (7-3=4) at age 5.

*The way that you find out Shay’s first pair of boots was size 4! :)* So, looking at his teeth in the jar, it says he lost them at age SIX. Remember that! In the picture (with the snake stuffed animal), Shay is widely smiling and you can see the two teeth clearly missing. Thus, he was SIX years old in that snake picture! And, also found in the picture, his boots have size ‘7’ printed on the bottom. Due to the medical report, he was three shoe sizes smaller when he was five rather than six. So, subtract the three shoe size difference from what we see when he was SIX. All in all, 7 - 3, he had the shoe size of 4 when he was 5! Props to you merely guessing it, though! I had fun figuring it out before that, regardless! :) (Sorry, I’m a heckin’ nerd 😂 By the way, I’m coming back to this series 8 years later! Time flew! Not to mention, ACK, the nostalgia!)

The note to the “shoe fairy” mentions shoes with skulls, in the picture with “mister huggy” we can see his shoes are size seven, we can assume with relative certainty that the letter was written when he was six, so the size was four, we know it is polka dot and there was the picture of the red boots next to it (good just stampy you solved that part) Edit: I just realized, we know the picture with mister huggy is from when he was six because he lost two teeth when he was six and we see he is missing two teeth in the picture

Shay was 6 when he lost his two from teeth. And the boots in the photo with the snake (where he had no front teeth) were size 7. So at age 5 the boots were size 4, since he had a growth spurt that year;

I finnaly figured out the puzzle at 3:20! The teeth shay lost at age 6 were a clue to the snake picture where he lost his teeth. He was 6 when the pic of him witth mr. Huggy was taken, and it says 7 on his boots, so if his boots were size 7 7-3 =4!!! Shays boots were size 4!
