+Rick DX i dont think he was actually trying, as most hip hop/beatmakers that have to play live gigs don't. maybe during song perfomance, but transitions and mixing isn't as important, especially in a genre of music that is so sporadic and unpredictable unless you know your tunes in and out.

So do a hard cut? Or even just fade out and in? There are transitions that work between different tempos and genres that sound much better than just a slow fade with no sync.

It was going in so well until he had to bring in the second song, shit arrived...terrible mixing I might say, you could have just switched of the bass of the next song and sync to allow swift infiltration =... terrible!
