Broken bolt- coil pack-2003 Chevy trailblazer ext v6

Ok so ? I bought the left hand drill bits but how do I remove the broken bolt stud from the 5th coil from the back any advice

I got the same problem in coil #5 how hell I fix it. There's no room to do that job.

The same truck and it happened to me except for the coil pack in the back broke. And as you know you cannot get a drill back there

Any pointers on how to take the very back one out? I have this problem with my 02 trailblazer & don’t know if I should take my valve cover off to remove it.

Hey there Taylor ! All I can say is use those left handed drill bits I got at O'Reilly's. Drill straight down Center of broken bolt and will come straight out. Drill bit has to be smaller than original bolt you're tryong to extract. Hope this helps n good luck !! Let me know how it goes chief !

Where did you find the bolt for the coil pack this just happened to me.

@@joeldurand840 it was still screwed in..gotta climb in there with a flashlight to see it. Drill a small pilot hole right in the center of broken bolt..then use a left handed drill bit that is a bit bigger than pilot hole..trust me..it will come straight out..take ur time drilling it though..hope this helps !!

@@joeldurand840 I bought the set at O'Reilly ... One cashier said there's no such thing as left handed drill bits.. Evev a customer said that. But manager overheard said yes we do carry them..right over here..older gentleman said.. I Gotta see this..and then said I'll be damned. I told them what it was going to be used for..lol.

Not to complain.. useful video. One. not trying to smart ass but that's a inline 6, where Chevrolet refers to as L series 6. Two. Unlucky me has to do hole 6... Three. I got multiple oil leaks in valve cover above spark plugs. Four. Advise? Q. Would it be easier to remove intake manifold and valve cover to gain acsess to tap hole six. Then I guess advantage would be to reseal while I'm there.

Since you got oil leak you need to change out the gasket so at that point you might as well take the valve cover off take the broken bolt out then change the valve cover gasket and put valve cover back on
