replace the fifth of the chord (in this case c) with the sixth. you get ivminadd6 or iiminb5 or idk. in this case f, a flat, d; or d, f, a flat. works so nice after the minor fourth

I don't think arpeggios are one specific chord. They are many broken chords played throughout a passage of music.

Arpeggios are more specific thing; all of their notes are played in either ascending or descending order. Broken chords can be arpeggios, but their only requirement is to have all the notes at some point.

@@mcshadowj Thanks for teaching me the distinction. In my language, we mostly use the term broken chords, even when they have the restriction you mention, so I always thought they were synonymous
