It’s really horrible. In 2018, my mom convinced me that I still liked skating and not to quit (I stopped liking it because personal reasons and treatment), so I trained with another couch for a whole year at the backs of my actual couch and I perfected everything with her. Three weeks before the competition I realized that the competition was getting closer and I started feeling anxious and everything felt so overwhelming. I didn’t make it in the competition... all my hard work for nothing.

for all the ppl who doesn't appreciate figure skaters let me tell you this, these figure skaters go through alot, before they started training skating they need to sacrifice their selves first. you see, the hardest thing to do in skating is the triple axel which is the 3 spin, one wrong move, you're over. if you fall from the triple axel your ankle will be injured. you will have bruises every time you fall, your body will ache, if you're skating really fast just enjoying the air skating like you're so free and then you fell or your body got hit by the skate heels, then you'll bleed. i'm telling this cuz i was an ice skater before, i trained for almost 2 years. in our country we have a competition its not on tv, youtube. i won the 2nd place there, when i was training for the triple spin there is a rope attached to me and its tied in the roof so if i jump i have balance, and let me tell you after that ican't feel my body anymore like i have so many bruises. its been 3 years since I haven't been on an ice rink.
@charliebrown6164 жыл бұрын
I did figure skating up until a few years ago. I was, and still am in love with the feeling of wind rushing past your ears. And the feeling when you land a new jump. I always got in trouble though. I never focused enough. I was never flexible enough. I was never small enough. I quit a few years ago to focus on swimming, a sport that I loved and was willing to sacrifice everything for. I never stopped loving skating though. I introduced all my friends to it, and many of them also fell in love with it, and was dedicated.

I love how your video shows both sides of figure skating: the amazing performances and the hard falls and fails. I’m a teenager in the sport and it’s a lot harder than it seems when you watch the Olympics. For every skill you learn, you have to fall and get back up over and over again; it’s endless work. But worth it, in the end. I admire all these skaters so much for sticking with it, despite everything.

And I will always remember the way so many people clapped when skaters fell at stars on ice bc they wanted them to get back up and keep fighting. We might fall but we are just improving, falling is apart of life but we just need to learn to get back up every damn time no matter how bad it is :)

I find figure skating the most inspiring sport! You need to keep your body in shape, need to be extremely flexible and strong at the same time... And the beautiful spins and twirls requires an immense amount of practice and hard work... High Respect for all 🙏🙏🙏 ❤️❤️❤️

Everyone sees the grace in Figure Skating but do they see the pain, the exhaustion, the blisters, the stress, the breakdowns, and the hard training to accomplish that grace? No. Judges with Figure Skating judge everything. To the single sequin on your costume that is out of place, to your focus. It takes months to practice for a program.

They are not loosers they are the real winners who started again after falling down...

My boyfriend used to be a skater and whenever he failed he can't help but hide his frustation and only keep his straight face, his trainer is hella strict and would yell at him or ask him to quit skating if he looks hopeless and keep make mistakes, it's really heartbreaking when he dicided to stop even though he already be a skater for more than 10 years

Это очень сильное видео, спасибо огромное вам за него. Честно признаюсь, проронила слезу. Невероятная энергия.

You know those times when you train so hard for something and when the day finally comes you do so well and then you fail it’s a horrible feeling and imagine crying after thinking no one is proud of you of what you have done :( it’s happened to mostly all of us

The first two faces I saw were those of my favorite figure skaters. You really did that to me. My heart just got punched, it’s cool
