So pleasurable to see a half-hour of storyline and acting, with no sex profanity or violence...only entertainment.... Thank you.

It still amazes me how writers and producer could include so much content in a half hour or even and hour. OK, I have chips and am ready to listen. Thanks, in advance, Pizza.

Because dialogue mattered back then.

Agreed@@Brutus-co9dt . I have very low vision only in one eye, so dialogue is significant to me. Thanks for your reply.

Aged 45 here, Niven is playing 37. And just a mere 3 years later, he played the middle-aged playboy father of Jean Seberg, on the French Riviera, in Bonjour Tristesse(1958)

Nothing beats the tension of a cinematic escape attempt, looking forward to David Niven's turn at the genre! Since this is a TV episode, this should be short, sweet, and to the point. Can't wait. Seriously, in all of the classics, from I Am Fugitive From A Chain Gang (1932) to The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and every great one in between, the crucial element that makes them compelling is wondering if they'll escape or not, where even a wrongly said alias or loud footstep keeps the audience glued. And whether it's watching Steve McQueen on a motorcycle jumping fences or François Leterrier spend the majority of A Man Escaped make a rope out of linen and wire, I've always liked watching them. Thanks, PizzaFlix!

💖 ~ Luvvved the charges David was up against (well, his quasi-comrade still in the clink)!!!!! 👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍 Interesting how he answered the judge without affirming with "Yes" & actually lying, with: "Well, here i am, your honor." Fabulous twist ending i *NEVER* saw coming - LUVVV those total surprises!!! Thank you abundantly to the writer(s). Methinkz David's disbelief mirrored mine - hahaha. (Didn't get what he told the waitress - that freaked her - about pinching his mother-in-law to bits, though. 🤷♀️ He chopped her up with some kind of a pincher tool or a scissor or ?¿?) ~ 💖 (( Fell asleep writing this ... 3× ... . ))

Nearly a decade later, David Niven was in "The Pink Panther" as the 'semi-retired' Phantom.

The trouble with Dvid Niven was that he had a kind, sophisticated, typically British Officer or Country Gentleman face - rather unbefitting most characters he played!
