Not necessarily, you always forget what's closest to the amnesia causing event first (so you can forget everything than happened within the last hour before the concussion or the last 10 days, months, etc...you get the idea) so you don't necessarily forget who you are unless you go way way back which would mean that he got a pretty serious blow P.S.: For those interested, there are two main types of amnesia, retrograde (you forget what happened before the amnesia causing event) and anterograde (patient is incapable of forming new memories).
