I have been watching this movie for 59 minutes and from the start of the movie, it has been a very tough and sad movie for me to watch taking in consideration that I have 7 children and I left their dad and set off to live a happy life with my children. I have been single for 8 years because I said that there will be no man that will ever come between my children and I. Now my oldest is 22 and my youngest is 11 I have 5 teenagers and I am proud of myself for believing in myself enough to know that I did great ! Soon I will be ready to fall in Love again knowing that my children are damn near grown!! Okay so now I am at the end of the movie and this turned out to be a beautiful movie awh I love it!!!

This is got to be one of the most saddest movies I've ever seen in my life but the unfortunate part of it is this stuff happens all the time with families being separated but these two parents were straight garbage for what they did. Thank God for the case worker who cared an thank God for that nurse too

From the age of 6 years old until I was 18 my brother and I grew up in the system, but my biological father always knew where we were and developed a friendship with our foster parents,so when he wanted to visit he didn't have to go through the system all he had to do was ask our foster parents,my father always made sure that we weren't separated or adopted, because I was the oldest he always told me to look after my brother, respect my foster parents and he always ask questions making sure we were treated right

My sister abandoned her daughter for a guy that got her hooked on drugs. She had just finished college with a double degree. She lives on the streets now and is mentally gone from all the drugs. Has been in and out of jail for domestic assault, theft, ECT. I'm saddened her life was so tragic, but I have raised her daughter and she is the light of my life. I'd give anything for my sister to be healthy and have a relationship with her child, but unfortunately she'll never be mentally stable enough to ever care for her child. The damage is beyond repair from everything she took. It's sad just one bad apple can completely change a loving caring person.

The eldest child usually slides into the parental role, especially when their is a great need such as a deceased/missing/mentally frail parent in the picture. My older brother, God bless him took a parental role over my siblings and me, 5 of us total and one had special needs, while being physically abused almost daily by my father. He kept everything together for us while being beat and disrespected repeatedly and still did well in school, sports, friends etc. He had a mental collapse in his early 20's and started drinking pretty bad. He also had commitment issues which caused a divorce. He is still with us, but very frail mentally now, I feel like I owe him everything and try to show him every chance I get. Wonderful, responsible, loving big brother ❤❤

PERFECT movie to watch today 23-24th December!! I just happened to pick it & LOVED every moment of it. My heart ACHED for those children, and for that 12 yr. old. I believe in Karma, and feel certain that parents like theirs learn a bitter lesson, from the guilt itself. "Guilt is to the mind & spirit what pain is to the body". The mean social worker who had the 12 yr old committed to the juvenile detention facility - Will get his Universal justice, too. This movie makes us want to reach out to all those unfortunate kids that need a home, doesn't it? Kind of like we feel when we visit the animal shelter & want to leave with a whole bunch of dogs &/or cats!? God Bless all those people who are reliable, kind & caring. Our world could sure use more Angels here on earth, 🙏Amen!!

You sound like a great, dependable, devoted loving sibling. Your brothers and sisters are very lucky to have you watch over them. It must be hard on you to have to take on a huge responsibility that should be put on a parent, not a child. This responsibility hinders your opportunity to just be a kid and have fun with friends. I am sure that you are also older than your years from having to be the one to step in the role of taking care of your brothers and sisters. Take care of yourself and I believe your siblings will happy that you made it difference in their lives. Thank you for sharing your life story and good luck.

This one tore at my heart, from beginning to end. The birth mother didnt have the maternal instincts of a feral cat and neither did the ex convict dad. Those 2 should have been sent to prison for dumping 5 children like garbage. This type upbringing will mess up kids into adulthood. They will always have trust issues ,anger, separation anxiety, depression, destructive behaviors, etc. The foster parents only in it for the money shouldnt be allowed around kids at all. Sadly, this is often the case even now. Im happy with the ending of this movie tho.

Interessting: case study on the past foster care system. 40 a month per child 5 children 200. That is quiet a sum for those days. Do you know how much children go these days? you can look up your states payments to foster parents. In some cases in California it is upwards of six grand, per child or 30 thousand for 5 children. Interesting. Would you take on a family of five children for 30 thousand A MONTH for disturbed children and there are plenty of hem. What a racket. Ask a social worker. God is love, hugs and love sent from cali, praying for all sinners.

I can't believe a mother would leave her children alone to take care of themselves over a man, who one day going to leave her maybe for someone else. She's a very wicked mother who's going to regret her actions.

That poor old woman tho was probably thinking she was losing her mind and was hearing things. Anybody who can abandon their children don’t deserve to be parents at all whatsoever nor do they deserve the chance to regain custody back. I know some might disagree with this but i rather have a child abandoned and found by a good samartian any day over a parent m*rdering or abusing their child. I read the news and watch the news and I just cannot believe how many children d*e at the hands of their own parents.
