this is the earlier version of 7/4 shoreline. the track was titled "shorelines" before the selftitled/windsurfing nation album came out.

I miss Zed. This performance was the first time I heard Broken Social Scene.

I'm always amazed at how many artists this band can field even for a single song: about ten guitarists, couple of bass players, two drum kits, five or six lead vocalists, entire brass band just for a closing lick.. BSS seems like an entire musical industry all by themselves..

Where the hell did Zed TV go? I'm still looking for Metric's performance of Dead Disco from that show. It was the best thing CBC produced in the last decade!

I saw Ziya a couple of years ago when she came back to Vancouver touring for book. The Zed crew came out to meet her so they still keep in touch!

Amy is no Feist, but she did a great job. This is a really well done live version of one of the best songs of all time, thanks for uploading this. Andrew Whiteman, amazing as usual, will always be my hero and main influence.

album version or this version, its all personal. THATS what should be dropped. And correct lyrics? This is broken social scene! just about every time I see them a song is different. Amy Millan is so underrated. As far as mixing goes, the voices and Whiteman's guitar are way more front and centre in this version than on the album and I enjoy Whiteman's solo so much more. The album version just sounds flat to me, even on vinyl. To me, this is a superior version to the album. Sigh, I miss ZED tv

actually, this is the early version of shoreline (not the album version) it features amy millan on vocals, not feist...the album version has a little difference on the lyric

This is really nice... but... come on. Better than the album? Amy has a nice interpretation, but she isn't better than Feist. And she got the lyrics wrong... Plus all the great chaos isn't there like in the album. I totally dig the video and the version, but let's put the better than the album stuff to rest.

Nicholas Foster Early version of the song. This is before the album version with Feist. Around this time the song was just called Shorelines.

It's just the singing in this version which isn't so great. The album version is much better in regards to singing. yup.
