"Broken Souls" (Clare De Lune) - Teen Contemporary Dance

One of the most unique competition pieces that I have seen in a while. The costumes were stunning and the execution was lovely! I personally love the song, however, I feel as though the girls were not able to connect to the music on a personal level. At times, I felt that the music overpowered the dancing and seemed disconnected. With that being said, I enjoyed the intricacies and the nuances of the movement. I can tell that the students worked very hard on the piece- Lots of full-bodied movement which was beautiful to watch. The dancers held nothing back, and left it all on the dance floor! The spacing did get a little wide at times, making it difficult to see all three at once, but overall the dancers did a very nice job! They have a lot to be proud of! Bravo dancers!
