Cass going infinite with a ham sandwich is so true, though. I wanted to build something silly with her when fallout released, and I discovered that she's nuts. I thought that her infinite combo is flimsy and came up with the combination of Breath of Fury and Gift of Wrath (or any enchant of the kind, especially Murder Investigation) gives you infinite combats, as long as you can give them haste (like with Anger in the graveyard. But I also have Valduk in my version, and Valduk + any enchant + breath of fury gives infinite combats with built-in haste, and then I ACCIDENTALLY combo'ed off with Quintorious and infinite ghosts... Cass is stupid broken.

So I've been obsessed with dumping enchantments into the graveyard ever since I built Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor a year ago. Lemme tell ya, in Grixis colours, it's a gymnastic experience. But since Wilds of Eldraine, I can finally breathe easier with Bargain, and have explored Orzhov enchantment crunching extensively with Neva, Haunted by Nightmares. So when I found out about Three Dog and Cass, I nearly shat myself. I can finally build the Boros Enchantress deck of my dreams.

I love this card, both the character since she's my favorite fnv companion and the combo powerhouse she is. What's cool about her is another combo that works is soul strike technique. Much like the when this creature dies auras, you need a couple of extra creatures for the combo to work. This is where cards like archon and ajanis chosen shine. Start saccing creatures until you've manifested all but let's say 10 cards in your library, now cast second sunrise or faiths reward. Congratulations, you genesis waved your entire deck in boros! So fucking cool.

If you think 3 Goblin Bombardment aren't enough, there is something similar: Warleader's Call a bit more expensive at 3cmc, but works if you get a sac outlet that doesn't trigger damage

I recommend Flamescroll Celebrant//Revel in silence in the budget version, Revel in Silence is a grand abolisher for the combo turn.

Watched another video, cool videos, subbed. LOL I played a couple games with Three dog after seeing the Prof's deck on Tolarian and I jumped at the idea of a Zada-like enchantments commander but Cass was ever on my mind considering there is less hoops to jump through in comparison (Three dog needs to be out, get enchanted, go to combat and pay 2 in combat, sacrifice enchantment AND you need creatures to enchant= so many ways your opponent can stop you), on top of it all Cass' text box reads like christmas early... maybe I'll just add Three dog as one of the 99 because they seem like a ''Trap'' commander (looks good but doesn't play as well as you want it too) :P

I def think you can make 3 dog work but it certainly has a lot of ways to be messed with as you mentioned. I don't think this list really goes wide enough for three dog to be worth in the 99 and we don't really want our auras in our graveyard and Cass doesnt really synergize with aura tokens. I think both commanders have potential, three dog can generate so much value at once but requires a lot of set up but I don't really think either of them fit in the other's deck sadly.

Suggestions include Scrapheap for infinite life to buy you time if you have the combo but no winning outlet for it, or Knight of Doves for infinite birds so you can win after one turn cycle if you don't have any card draw auras on the board. Of course Impact Tremors is also a good winning outlet because you still are throwing one dude on the board at a time with your token creator auras.

I dont think you need the lifegain at all the combo just wins and is very consistent no need to play a random lifegain card as a back up. Knight of doves is really cool I didn't know about him probably still would only play him in the budget list. I don't think impact tremors is necessary when you have 3 goblin bombardments in the deck. Once the combo starts if you aren't dealing infinite damage immediately then you are probably drawing infinite cards until you find one of your bombardments to win so impact tremors I think is just win more and not necessary. None of these are bad suggestions though.

So it wasn't just me - saw that and right away starting noodling on deck ideas. The other card that made me stop and go hmmm was the DJ. May as well run them in the same deck!

I think both Cass and the DJ are very powerful and both are great commanders but honestly I don't think they are that good in each other's decks. DJ really wants you to go really wide and you end up sacking your auras themselves so you need a lot more token generation and ways to get back your auras. I know they read very similar both being boros aura etb commanders but in terms of gameplan execution they are extremely different and sadly don't interact that well with each other.

Adding green is always a powerful option hahaha. I personally don't think Preston really lends himself to Aura ETBs as a commander though he is much better at ramping you by untapping your enchanted lands into playing big haymakers. I'm sure you could make a Preston deck work it would just need a bit more effort and intention.

Okay guys, this decks works, it's bonkers. I love it. But it's always doing the same things and would be cool to shuffle things up a bit. Any MH3 adds or new combo with Cass on the new set?

Yeah that is kind of the problem with linear combo decks. It is good because it can execute the gameplan consistently and quickly but it does the same thing every game. If you add other stuff in to spice things up you are inevitably gonna make the deck worse. Now that might not be a problem for you there are plenty of reasons you'd want to power down this list. In terms of MH3 cards I think dog umbra looks interesting as a flexible pacifism/protection piece. I don't think bestow creatures work with Cass since they are not "aura cards" while in your graveyard but if I am wrong about that then indebted spirit is good as a combo piece and just a creature you can enchant if you need but I am pretty sure bestow doesn't work with Cass. Other than those not much looks interesting from MH3 for Cass sadly. I'm glad you have been enjoying the list and it has been treating you well :) I knew this one was a sleeper when I found her but it is nice to get confirmation.

I don't think Cass is too powerful unless you are using her for combos. She does seem a little redundant with Mazzy though but definitely a good back up commander.

@@MoGpt lotus ring from the big score!!! That card is crazy as a sac outlet in this deck. You may need to add a few haste enablers to get the combo to go but getting 3 mana per creature is nuts!

@MoGpt yeah I like mass hysteria for combo decks for sure. May not be worth including at all in super optimized lists but the synergy is definitely there. The ring also combos with fervent champion and Koll and Koll is pretty good in the list already so maybe include that combo too but it's hard to say if it's worth it.

I love casual, but buddy, a 0 protection (not even ward 1) 4 costed 2 colored commander thqt combos with 3 cards is far from busted, specially if she doesnt give you extra mana or card draw.

Like I said this isn't cEDH good but auras themselves are great protection pieces and red and white have access to some pretty good instant speed protection as well. A 4 mana commander that can come down and immediately win the game is pretty busted in my opinion. You have to remember its not just a 3 card combo its a 3 card combo where 1 is your commander and the other 2 are just an aura that makes a token on etb and a sac outlet not exactly super specific requirements. There are ton's of cards that work for the combo. Is this the best commander ever printed? Obviously not. Is this commander capable of busted stuff much faster than your average casual commander? Very clearly yes. If you don't think that qualifies as busted that's fine we can have different criteria of what counts but it definitely meets my requirements and Cass was getting practically 0 attention until I made this video so I definitely think for how underrated she is she is busted. @OnlyLands-MTG so your gameplan is to hope she doesn't get Swords'd or Path'd whilst you consistently turbo the win on turn 4 to 5? Bc if you consistently win on turn 4 to 5, I don't think you're leaving up mana for interaction or protection, or card draw. Do you mulligan until sufficient lands + combo pieces and pray? I know fun os subjective, but I'm willing to bet money even if it worked 100% of the times for you you'll get bored of a deck like that pretty quickly. The most probable case being it not working 25% of the time, and the pilot getting bored of it even faster. I once made a Cadric list based on a line with Magda, Ganax, Nadaar, and Orthion; with a bunch of treasure generation and tutors for Magda (with Maskwood Nexus for Orthion ofc). Was it funny the first, second, and third time? Yes. But a commander list dedicated to one or two tricks whilst the rest of the deck behaves like a boring pile of cards gets boring pretty quickly. Not boring to see, but boring to play.

And any deck that doesn't feel fun to play is an objective failure in casual, where you're supposed to have fun over sweating a win.

@@nCedric1 yeah I mean there is a reason I don't really play combo decks like this in casual and have no intention to build this in paper. But MY opinion and MY playgroup aren't the only one's that exist. I'm sure there are plenty of playgroups out there where this would be an appropriate deck to play. It's not my job to tell people how to have fun with this game. There's a reason I stated this was a powerful deck not appropriate for most casual metas. I am just here to show off cool and interesting brews you guys have to determine for yourselves if they are something that would be fun for YOU. If you don't think you'd have fun playing this that's fine you don't have to build it just like I don't think it would fit my meta and I have no intentions to build it. Doesn't mean it isn't worth sharing and discussing this unique and powerful new archetype :) I've been playing this game for 15 years at this point. I know that some decks are more fun for me to just brew than they would be to play. I've gone through the hyper optimization of my decks and found I didn't enjoy pushing them to that level for casual and have since powered them down. But that doesn't mean everyone is at the same point in their magic journey as I am. Some people like to play broken consistent combo decks and there is nothing wrong with that even if it isn't how you or I like to play casual.

yeah the Fugue wiping away opponents creatures while drawing 20 cards with skullclamp is probably the coolest thing I've seen in magic in a while. Part of me wants to try to brew Cass without all the combos because these lists are def too strong for my playgroup lol.

Fugue is one of my most favourite cards in the game because of how funny it is to steal somebody's voltron every turn, and now you're telling me it's a BOARDWIPE?! I'm in heaven.
