I think in a way this proves why Deku is perfect candidate for this heavy burden. Without one for all he was just quirkless and could never truly reach his dream of becoming a pro hero but now he can and even with the burden that entails I think he is happier suffering but saving people because not being able to live up to his would be a bigger curse to him

Ofa and by extension deku has always scared me in a sense. Especially with the current manga the series literally showing that ofa is a effectively a weight that literally is too much to handle both physically and emotionally for one person to bear for 2 long. I’m glad that the current chapters are also kind of acknowledging that this complete selflessness carried by the wielders can be an unhealthy mindset.

I honestly think Deku is the most badass character in the series. Life has kicked the crap out of the kid, and he was father behind than anyone when he finally got a chance. Still, he chases his dream and protects and helps people, even at the cost of destroying his own body. He’s a hero through and through, and that makes him the biggest badass of all in my book.

Yeah that's good and all but one person can't be given responsibility to carry everyone's hope . Deku is suffering too much in this endeavor , it is good to be a hero but it is toxic to have a mindset to save everyone just by yourself .

His existence also disproves the whole evolution of Shigaraki’s ideology (Shigaraki wants to claim heroes are just as violent, Deku learns to pull his punches. Shigaraki wants to demonstrate the power of public chaos, Deku’s unwitnessed fight with Stain makes the headlines. Shigaraki’s self actualization turns out to be All For One poisoning the mind of a traumatized kid, Deku progressively becomes more of an All Might type hero than All Might)

How the author has incorporated and dealt with these flaws has been absolutely fascinating, and it feels true. Should power and the corresponding responsibility be concentrated into the hands of the few, or should it be spread out? In history/mythology, the only person who could shoulder the burden of literally every single living being was/is Jesus Christ, and it was a weight terrible enough to make him, God, bleed from every pore. (Edit: And even Christ needed an angel to support and strengthen him.) That makes Deku a kind of Christ figure, but one that more clearly demonstrates a difference between God and man: no mortal can shoulder the weight of everyone, and cannot be expected to.

@@MpanzuELWik It is cool that you bring that up, and I'm glad you did, though I disagree somewhat. From how I understand it, Shigaraki and AFO are not Christ figures, but are, rather, Anti-Christ. An Anti-Christ figure will have some of the outward appearance of God (such as when AFO bragged about "giving and taking away" and "forgiving sins" and such), and so will trick many people, but the core leads to destruction and captivity as it enriches itself. Anti-Christ would see people as tools or tally marks rather than as beings of inherent worth independent of himself. An Anti-Christ would turn people against Christ, portraying good as evil and evil as good.

@@1kexzy850 yes, and it is for that reason alone that his classmates cannot help him carry the burden. They do not have the strength that breaks their bodies if they push too hard. They do not know what it is like for the quirkless and most likely the struggles that people with ‘villainous’ quirks go through. They cannot relate with the villains the way Deku can. They do not have the burden of most likely being the last true holder of a quirk that carries the literal vestiges of 8 people inside of it, or holding and using all of their quirks on top of the one that you were promised that you have to work day in and out to use more of without hurting people or yourself. And put the stipulation of having a timeframe to kill two AFOs of maybe a few months. Where society has turned against heroes and aren’t listening to them anymore and only listen to you out of fear because you look like a monster because you cannot rest. Danger Sense hurts your head too much for you to sleep. You manifest new quirks in dangerous situations and need to have instant mastery over them so that you don’t cause too much damage to your surroundings. Your hero costume is a downgrade from your normal one, and even then it is in tatters around you. You turned a villain into a hero only to have said hero blow up in your face because you needed to be shown that your heroic nature can be used against you. So that combined with your PTSD turns you into a person who avoids and runs away from everyone who wants to help so that they aren’t hurt anymore. People begin to call you an underling to the villain who ruined your life, a villain that saves people for some ungodly reason. Then, you collapse against another Tartarus escapee, who can control civilians who are beating you while apologizing at the same time. Then, your classmates deal with the villain, and start berating you and emotionally manipulating you to bring you back to the only place were refugees feel safe, the place that you didn’t even return to so that those people would be safe. Your classmates do not understand even though you explained in the letters that you wrote explained why you aren’t coming back. And they say that they want to share the burden? The last time you remotely worked with people against AFO, everyone close to you fighting with you got hurt, badly, and you do not want that to happen again. If they will not let you through and you cannot run away, you will have to overwhelm them in battle. There is no other way, and you tried to avoid this, but they didn’t give you another option that you are willing to accept. So you start hitting as hard as you can.

*Manga Spoilers* I think this whole idea of a curse is probably gonna reach it’s emotional and thematic climax soon, judging by how beat-up Deku is now. As you said, visual storytelling is a key component to illustrating the curse of OFA, and Deku is clearly almost at a psychical and emotional breaking point. This could possibly signify how either the curse will break or he will. Another component of visual storytelling that I think shows this is how destroyed the smile on his mask is. Earlier on in the story, he fashioned this mask after All Might, inspired by the idea of “saving people with a smile.” As it turns out, doing so is impossible in MHA’s hero society, as the burden placed on one will eventually destroy that smile, despite what they may project. OFA’s curse is destroying all of the genuine happiness and optimism that Deku displayed early on in the series. If he continues on the path he is on right now, he will end up just like what he envisions Shigaraki to be. A crying child in desperate need of help.

I always loved the idea of the mask with a smile. Because that's what All Might's smile is. A mask he wears when being a hero. That smile is a message of hope to the people, it tells them "if I'm not worried neither should you" i.e. "I am here". Meanwhile, to villains, it's a threat. "I'm not worried so YOU should be" i.e. "I am here". But both of those are a lie, a way to both calm civilians and scare bad guys, it's not what All Might really thinks, but it's better if everyone else does. With Deku, the smile is gone. There's no promise of safety, no threat. It's factual, but it's not comforting. It's not supposed to intimidate villains or calm down innocent people. It just means the bad guys are going down and civilians are being saved. There's no emotion. It's cold, simple and terrifying.

Still ... I find it incredible that people doesn't get to talk how Horikoshi, very clearly, also shows that the biggest problem of this society is actually "All for One". - Letting all the society be held by one individual. - All the struggles and suffering of past users in one sucessor. - All those people looking at Tenko, but deciding to let him wait for any other one who would hopefully help him. I'd say that the "do everything he can" mentality isn't really the biggest problem. But the fact that all others doesn't mind letting one person carrying everything alone. While One for All can do many things, leaving All for One breaks people.

This is the Beauty of Class 1A coming to save him and support him for life in the recent chapters. They are fixing All Might's mistake. Both with how it was in his lifetime and prime of being mostly alone and doing everything on his own, even with the Nighteye scene. And with All Might not being sometimes responsible and putting all the pressure onto him, a 14 year old kid at the time and making a child the next symbol of peace with pressure and all. Just like Endeavor did with his son, with his sons Shoto and Toya, Dabi. The last generation is flawed and messed up and keeps failing, especially the adults of UA and teachers and the older past heroes. And the kids have to simply pick it up, like Class 1A and the other heroes students have been doing the entire series. I've always seen the Class 1A and the other students are just going to be better adults than the old ones. Even if we like some of them like All Might or Aizawa and there great adults and teachers, there still flawed and putting too much pressure on these kids and doing their adult jobs poorly and failing. But the kids still prevail and still prove they deserve to be here and help the adults anyway. They've survived and went through war even. These kids are strong, just like All Might said in Season 1. And they will get stronger, they've matured since the war arc and are maturing a ton in this current Villain Hunt arc. By the end of the series there development and maturity will make them greatest and most mature adults and the greatest heroes of all time in the series history and completely surpass and fix the fault of the previous more flawed adults and older generation heroes and be much better than current flawed hero society. Class 1A is one of the best main casts in shonen and Class 1A together will help Deku unlike All Might's time and together as shown in this arc go up against the world and stop these villains, both and in the the future after they beat All for One and his evil villain team right now in the series. The new generation of heroes is growing, maturing, and learning and will be incredible people as they fix their own mistakes as were seeing as kids and they will be the greatest adult heroes of all time as a new generation of excellent and great new heroes.

To be fair to All Might for choosing Midoriya, he was probably compelled by the OFA quirk to make the quick, hasty decision based solely on the kid's demonstration of the desirable mindset. i mean, i mostly agree with the video but at the same time not all of the OFA users shared the same ideology as All Might did, OFA was born as a way to fight back against AFO and many of the past users devoted themselves to that goal, not holding together all of society as all might wanted to. I believe overtime as OFA grew in power, the responsibility grew with it and combining it with all might, a person who has a flawed concept of heroism, made it become what it is today. Even so, i like the video a lot tho

If I were to write the story, I would want one for all and all for one to unite, here me out. I think the author got both quirks from the famous saying "all for one and one for all" but throughout the story he has it a two separate force try to overwhelm one another, But I believe that somehow in the end all for one would not fully but somewhat have a Change in believe which will then turn "one" person to save "all" the people and "all" the power brought to one man into a new symbol meant for not just a group but for everyone

A thing that came to my mind that wasn’t mentioned, is that when All Might first gave Deku hi power, he never really told him about everything he went through. Granted, he thought AFO was dead, he never imagined all this would happen to him, but he never mentioned to Deku how this power really destroyed his relationships with anyone, like Nighteye, and every time he was injured, for the most part, he was praised for putting others before himself and his physical state and never really reprimanded him. Inko was right: he wasn’t getting through to Deku and he was continuing to harm himself over and over again (like Dabi when Endeavor wasn’t getting through to him). When All Might fought AFO in Kamino, he said, its your turn now, but All Might never had anyone in his corner really and now Deku feels like he CAN’T have anyone in his corner in fear they may be hurt. Also the fact that Bakugou, a person who, up until recently, never really seemed to care about Deku’s well-being, was the one who saw this power as a curse while fighting Shigaraki and when he made the connection with the big bad, and STATED that All Might and Deku teaming up and going off on their own was the worst case scenario, just proves how toxic of a mindset this whole “symbol” or “pillar of society” really is. This is all really loose and I had point but I feel like I lost it along the way.

I think another thing that lends credence to OFA being a curse is the nature of how quirks work. They effect your mental state, making you want to use them and make you act more like the nature of the quirk in your personality, drawing out elements that are like it and suppressing ones that aren’t. Deku, already a person who doesn’t believe his feelings or body matter and is an extreme altruist. Then he is given One For All, a quirk that is all about giving from one’s self to others, by giving the quirks and power within it. So it could stand to reason that some of the reason all the users did the same thing is because the power at least partially influences the user to give up one’s own body and mind to try to ‘help’ others.

AFO reminded me of the Avatar State, they have their similarity and difference. Like the it longer pass down the stronger it gets, you get the experience and knowledge of the previous user/one. The main difference is that two avatar can not be alive at the same time, the previous avatar can only give you advice and they have different priority base on when and where they grew up.

The most recent chapters have shown that Deku needs to acknowledge the flaw of wanting to bear the burden alone. All Might thought he had to save the world with his own power, and while he did an admirable job, once he was powerless, it became painfully obvious how fragile his hard-fought peace was. If he had trusted in more people to help support his efforts, if he had made more of an effort to help those who can't be saved by punching the bad guys, maybe things would be better than they are now.

He should have, I agree, but the problem is, on top of his own blindness to the situation, almost everyone got TOO complacent. They decided to instead (despite him not wanting them to) create a "status quo", and rely on him to completely support it. However... 1.) Relying on one person or thing to support everyone is a recipe for disaster 2.) So is trying do absolutely everything on own. (ie. Deku and AM) 3.) And to paraphrase a quote from the anime "Maintaining the statue quo is the same as going backwards." 4.) Finally, insanity can be doing the same things over and over while expect a different outcome. (This is what AM and Deku has been doing. This is - and all of the above - also what the now toppled Hero Society was doing.)

Deku is both the best possible candidate and the worst one for OFA. Deku's selfless and caring nature makes him the ideal hero, the incorruptible and unstoppable force of good that will save everyone and beat the bad guys. On the other hand, he is reckless, impulsive and self-destructive, if not for plot armor, he would have died many times over by now and as we've seen he has suffered horribly due to the burden on his shoulders. The burden of responsibility is not something to take lightly and the weight of OFA is immense, I doubt anyone could withstand such a burden without feeling serious side-effects of it. Uncle Ben's famous line rings true throughout the many realms of fantasy and in reality as well, naturally many are not suited to such responsibility and many abuse their power for their own gain, no shortage of examples there... In defense of All Might, he believed he had finally put down AFO for good five years before the story began and had largely ended organized crime within Japan, the society was quite peaceful and heroes were abound, perhaps from his perspective, the job was largely done and Deku would have a comparatively easy time. AFO stayed hidden and stayed quiet for a time while he recovered and plotted his return, it is Deku's bad luck to be facing his resurgence before he had mastered his power. Do not neglect AFO within the story as well. That man is not merely the main villain or the symbol of true evil within the series, the very reason why OFA exists is to defeat AFO and may well be the only thing that can. Whatever OFA may be, it exists to defeat its brother quirk and the most powerful ability there is, AFO has taken hundreds if not thousands of quirks over many decades and is the greatest threat the world has ever seen since the rise of superpowers. So long as AFO exists, OFA is simply necessary and someone will have to carry that burden until the job is done.

To be a OFA User, is to be doomed with a responsibility that yearns through generations, with the failures of your predecessors and the ambitions of a psychopathic 100 year old supervillain breathing down your neck every minute. To be an OFA user is to be forced in a conflict that could danger your allies, and even result in the deaths of all those close to you. To be an OFA user is to be hold responsible for upholding the basis of modern hero society, whether that be of its sole symbol, or merely not allowing its growing power to end in the worse hands. To be an OFA user is to give everything you can possibly can, to push your body to its utter limits, tear the bonds of friendship and family till they can break forever, and even your everlasting happiness for the rest of your life. And after all of that, you can still die in failure, being forced to entrust this cruel power, this irresponsible burden, to another person, dooming them into an mulitgenerational mess that will almost guaranteed a life of fear and impossible expectations. It's what makes Deku so great, this powerful quirk, filled with horrible consequences, coupled with an abused, self-loathing but selfless boy. A boy who's inner heroism will push him forward in accepting the unfair pressure and dangers OFA forces onto it's current user, a boy that whole hardly believes the burden of finishing a conflict spanning over a century and the collapse of a society that was formed under the basis of _his previous predecessor that he greatly admires and has unconsciously now become in the darkest, most self-harming ways,_ is his sole responsibility.

I would have to re watch it but I'm almost 95% sure All Might brings up that being a hero is going to be a burden. Multie times through out the series and even outright apologizes for leaving the burden of dealing with All for One on Deku. The whole beginning part saying a curse isn't defined well enough is weird too, power and responsibility have nearly always been considered double edged swords or curses. Knowledge is power and ignorance is bliss is pretty telling. Even the ancient chinese curse "may those in high places find you" has also been said as may those in high places recognize your ability.

No one man should have all that power is how I look at One for All those who wield this/these power(s) they are burdened with the weight of saving others time and time again the concept of the “symbol of peace” is saving others who cannot do for themselves without having anyone save or protect them. Nagant speaking on society’s darkness and the pressure she and others like her were placed under is very similar to One for All’s ideology of upholding someone’s version of what peace should be and how their ideologies are more worth it than saving the individual over the hundreds no thousands of people in need.

Every time the topic of all might giving Izuku OFA comes up people always rush to the same arguments, forgetting that all might himself was unaware of a lot of the downsides to OFA. He didn’t know AFO was still alive, and he didn’t know how difficult it was going to be for Izuku to wield OFA because he himself never struggled with it. He trained Izuku for those 10 months but he honestly had no way of knowing exactly how much muscle mass Izuku would need to build to contain OFA without taking any damage because HE never had that issue. And as for the mental burden, it’s important to remember that all might himself had that same overly selfless, altruistic mentality and was always ready to put his life on the line to save others, which is why Nighteye was so worried about him. So if all might couldn’t see the issue with that mentality when it came to himself, how could he possibly have foreseen it with Izuku? I think all might was initially a bad teacher because he’s the type that everything came naturally to, so it was difficult for him to put himself in the shoes of someone who has more difficulty learning, but his decisions weren’t nearly as irresponsible as people like to make him out to be, with the knowledge he had at the time.

An interesting thing about all this is that a large reason that the ideology is perpetuated is individuals like All for One. The power of one for all was being used to take him down and we know that left unchecked his villainy caused more suffering and death with no altruism that could stand against it. Its a vicious cycle as evil tries to cultivate itself and is caused by flaws in heroism as well as simply existing on its own. The question then becomes not is the ideology wrong but is it the better alternative to the organized crime based society of All for One or are both equally flawed and in need of a middle ground. All societies have inescapable flaws and evil created in the shadows of what is ignore by the good and the neutral. There is no right answer each person can only do what they think is best and that will always lead to conflict when someone disagrees

I feel like you’re missing two very blatant points contradicting your assessment. The first is choice. At any point Deku Allmight or any user can hand off the power of one for all or simply not use it. Nothing is forceing them to follow the idea besides their own nature. And I will point out that their own nature forced them to do suicidal heroism even before they got the power. Deku lept in without thinking to save Bakugo his bully when he needed him most without thinking. Both of them are the kind of person whom would have attempted to follow through with their ideals regardless of the power. One for all merely facilitates them. Allmight didn’t abandon Nighteye it was the reverse. Nighteye couldn’t stand to see Allmight slowly die and so he left. Allmight could have passed on one for all to anyone but he stayed on until he found a worthy heir of his own volition his own choice with his own free will. You can’t chose a curse that you can simply stop being cursed by. One for All is freely given and freely received and can be given up with ease as well. The second is on the flaws of the symbol of peace. You are missing a very important fact that it’s not his fault. Allmight can’t be blamed for the failure of others. The fact that he’s doing his best to save and protect people doesn’t make him responsible for those he can’t save. Allmight for all his power isn’t omnipotent he can’t be everyone and save everyone all the time. Nor can he also be held responsible for the actions of others. Endeavor might have done what he did because he envied all might but that doesn’t make allmight responsible for him. All might isn’t responsible for people being shity parents. Allmight is not responsible for someone losing control of their own quirk and traumatizing themselves. Allmight is certainly not responsible for a crazy person lashing out at people for “ not being heroic enough” Nana had a very good reason for letting her kid get adopted. Hey super powered crazy evil mobster with untold power and control over everything is trying to kill her it would be more irresponsible for her to bring the kid with her and subject him to One for All. It was a hard choice but the alternatives weren’t great either. She certainly isn’t responsible for her son lashing out at his son. That’s her son’s choice an action of his own will. Regardless of his hate for heroes he decided to strike his own son for a childish dream. That’s his decision . Nana had no part to play in that. He had decades to come to terms with what happened to him and instead he lashes out at a child. Regardless of what he does some people are going to be screwed that’s how the world works no one can save everyone but Allmight gave it a damn good try. The failing of Hero society was that no one else could do their damn jobs. Everyone else just kept failing the second he left. It was even less no symbol of peace and more no one else was competent. Prisons fail, Number 2 is a scandal ridden mess of a man, the Government somehow missed a FUCKING ARMY, Hero society failed to stop the doomsday plot. Allmight can’t be blamed for everyone else taking the time he was buying them and messing it up.

All mights solution to the curse was to inspire the masses not just to fix the world's problems or to save everyone. Humans are imperfect thus humanity will always be imperfect with traces of disfunction. Perhaps the solution to an imperfect world is an unrelenting altruistic community who values progression. The role OFA play is it gives some one the ability to be the front runner in that cause.

One point to keep in mind: unlike Spiderman who never asked to be special, Deku _chose_ his path. He wanted, with full consent, to become a Hero and dedicate his entire life to others. He knew it wouldn't be easy. He knew there is a heavy burden and responsibility tied to what he's asking for, as he'd be holding people's lives in his hands. But he chose that path nonetheless. In the MHA universe, super-powers are so common that having them is the norm. Being a Hero is a choice, not an obligation you have to fulfill because you randomly received a super-power. Some people choose that path simply for fame, money, or a sense of achievement, and not because they feel liable for other people's welfare. So, it's not really the same as Spiderman. Generally speaking, super-powers in MHA are not a curse. They're nothing more than "talents" in real world equivalent, a means to achieve one's potential and pursue one's personal dreams. And being a Hero does not equate to selflessness or being cursed. It's just a job you can always quit. If anything, being born quirkless is Deku's true curse, in my opinion. Growing up in a society that believes him incapable of reaching for his dream without a quirk, coupled with the toxic cruelty of his peers on this matter, led to huge self-esteem issues. He truly saw himself as completely worthless, to the point that he latched onto the first opportunity to live up to someone's expectations. So, obviously, he accepted All Might's offer. He had the choice to walk away and let someone else carry that burden instead. But he willingly chose to become All Might's successor. His self-worth issues don't get better though. Even after inheriting the strongest quirk in the world, something that couldn't have been possible without his insane dedication and effort, he still saw himself unworthy, as simply "lucky" and "blessed" to have been given this chance. It got worse when he started seeing himself as nothing more than OFA's vessel. I personally found it disturbing that, during his battle with Shigaraki, his "logical" train of thought was that OFA is meant to stop AFO and therefore whatever happens to him doesn't matter at all as long as he stops Shigaraki. He failed to see himself as more than just OFA's wielder. Bakugo, who ironically is part of the reason for Deku's low self-worth, is one of the characters who point out that Deku's lack of any consideration for his own well being is a form of insanity, saying that something's wrong with the boy's head and that he shouldn't be left alone for that same reason. The story doesn't go much deeper into this issue. But I personally believe that, just like characters such as Shigaraki and Bakugo were the product of their environment, so is Deku. Yes, his incredibly altruistic and empathetic nature pushed him towards accepting the burden of true heroism. But it is mainly his lack of self-worth growing up that led him to have such disregard for his own wellbeing as long as he fulfills his duty as OFA's successor. His curse is not OFA. It's his self-dehumanization into nothing more than OFA's vessel. Ironic, given it's his gift of compassion as a human being that made him worthy of OFA in the first place.

Idk if anyone else notices this but isn't MHA basically all just Midoriya's flashback? He did say in the beginning "this is the story of how i became a great hero" so in present time he's already a hero, and this is probably a story he's telling to someone. Idk tho this is just my headcanon lol

Great video for sure and that’s half of the story, the other half is the fact that the users know it’s a curse and requires a sacrifice. OFA is a curse created by AFO and his tyranny. None of the users are happy or had good lives but they still shoulder that burden for everyone else.

i have only one thing to say to defend one for all's honor just cuz you can't save everyone, doesn't mean you shouldn't save anyone even if one for all puts a burden on its user it relives it off others that is what heroism is as a wise man once said "a good hero, is a dead hero" a hero who's willing to die for others is the most pure form of a hero humanity is not rational, we're beasts driven by emotion that is the cruel truth, emotions is what makes us human it's irrational for a person to willingly put the burden of the world on their shoulders but if they don't........who will? someone needs to stand up, and such people should be congratulated for taking stance as Crimson Riot said "if i fear anything more than death, it's regret" what Deku wants is to not regret not doing anything and again, it seems irrational, but if you think about it, isn't fearing death also irrational? what's the point of avoiding death if it's coming anyway? it's inevitable that's what i mean when i say humans are irrational we fear death knowing fully well it's gonna get us one way or another idk 'bout you but i'd gladly take this curse, because if i'm gonna die anyway, i'd want to prove to everyone first that i lived a meaningful life, even if it wasn't for long, i gave someone the hope to fight for what they believe in even if it was short lived, i showed every villain that one day or another, someone will rise up to stop them that is what it means to be a hero

(Manga Spoilers) One for All how I interpret it is in literal form, it’s one person sacrificed for the well being of all, Izuku is most likely the last One for All user and 8 Generations of One For All are all crashing down him, he’s just a teenager One For All may grant the user immense power but it also basically forces the user to HAVE to face All For One because of the utter sheer will of the past generations of one for all, as you said it’s a double edged sword One For All has practically cursed Izuku to possibly fall into a dark dark spiral where no human being should be in, the amount of pressure Izuku is in currently must be pushing him even deeper into that hole, All Might similar to maybe Might Guy he gave somebody with no quirk/talent an immense power that ultimately cursed them to pain, both Rock Lee and Izuku have been immensely hurt both mentally and physically.

When I heard why the LOV were villains I thought that deku could’ve been a villain if All might didn’t give him one for all. Let me explain, deku has been bullied by Bakugo multiple times for being quirkless. If deku never tried to talk to all might he probably wouldn’t have the resolve to save Bakugo so all might wouldn’t choose him. Deku then would HATE all hero’s because they all had quirks and were showing them off, this making deku hate that doesn’t have a quirk even more. One day he would meet shigaraki who says that he can give me a quirk so we would listen because at this point deku is desperate to get a quirk. Deku tells shigaraki about his life so far. Shigaraki then takes deku to all for one to get a quirk. Deku then joins the league of villains to get revenge on the ones who have caused him pain. Bakugo, the hero’s, and almost everyone who were flaunting their quirk all over the place will realize that they aren’t special. All of them will realize who I am. And they will cry of fear. Bye bye Bakugo.

Also, watching these heros, who flaunted their quirk, just sit there as someone dies because 'oh, our quirks don't actually do crap' would just poison his view on everyone with a quirk. Watching them just be selfish or throw their power away would kill him.

I like that you mentioned episode 1 and the argument that If All Might hadn't given Deku ofa, Deku would've continued to be his reckless self and would've supported himself into a mechanical one for all like Mei later on. If anything, All might sees Deku's future and just wanted to do what he could to cushion the blows deku will deal to himself.
