This is the mid-season finale of our 2020 Italy series. We have six more episodes to come that you will see on our channel next year. Five of those locations are actually featured in our 2021 Urbex Calendar! We just finished working on it. We picked our best shots and printed them on high-quality photographic paper along with stories from our explorations. If you want to know more, have a look at our website: bwturbex.com/ By purchasing a calendar you are supporting the production of our videos. Cheers!

Religion is not necessary to visit such an old beauty. Whether you're catholic or baptist or something else, just admire the beautiful stoneworks and the lovely ornaments that were once created to praise the Lord. So much work done by so many artists, and now the building is left to rot and decay. But the work was not done in vain, as long as the building exists, there will be adventureres like you, Marco and Till, who save the glorious artworks and much more interesting, the atmosphere of this once holy place. I am so excited and happy to return here at 6pm!!!
@bwturbex4 жыл бұрын
We are not religious ourselves. For us, these holy places are just buildings. But we always like to visit an abandoned Lord's house because of its splendor and the great architecture. Really cool to see!!!
@Dong_Harvey4 жыл бұрын
@@bwturbex there is definitely a level of intense dedication that goes into pre-industrial religious building that cannot be matched with even the advance of technology. Whether anybody worships anything is irrelevant to the realization of what humanity can create if only there was a good reason to do so
@brendabrenda67823 жыл бұрын
The people who built this church did not think that way. The worldview of that time was 100% different. The beauty that God created was not simply something to be admired in nature, but something to apply in every aspect of life. The reason that people don't go to these places anymore is simple; Catholicism has declined. There are people struggling to build such beautiful churches in my country and they don't think like you.

Thank you for another release from our self-imposed solitude. You braved the dangers of Nature's little daggers and, from the sound of it, a "ferocious" dog (weight---about 2-3 kilos?) to take us into this once beautiful house of worship. There must be silent echoes of the many weddings, christenings, and Requiems here. My earliest thoughts: At 7:52 "long sleeves and trousers..."? I suggest _motorcycle_ "leathers!" and at 8:09+, "How did a priest get up into that elevated pulpit?! I look forward to your further adventures in Sunny Italy. Please stay safe in your travels---and the same wish to all who follow you.

This was quite beautiful in its decay. I always find so much more of the spiritual when Nature begins to re-enter the places She was once cut away from, and this is a classic example. Plants, birds, insects, and small animals finding room creating ways for themselves, breathes life and the sacred into formerly beautiful but cold strongholds of religion. These small miracles were shut out...but now there is room for the purest expressions of faith ALL can understand and relate to. Thank you for another brilliant peeling back of the layers with the skills you so obviously have among your talents. Stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦
