Apparently he was the one who didnt want the steiner name and was happy to go with a different name and same with brian pilman jr aswell in nxt. These guys do love and respect there fathers and what they did in wrestling but i think its a good thing aswell that they want to carve there own path and try to get over as there own entities instead. Ofc its a cool thing aswell if you wanna carry on a legacy but some people woudnt be happy regardless if they went with there family name or they didnt.

I cannot understand for the life of me why they didn't do a storyline on NXT where there's a conflict with Bron and he has to choose between his dad Rick and his Uncle Scott and he betrays his dad to join with his Uncle. It would be like printing money. They should do it on the main roster. And Vince didn't like the history stuff, the personal stuff so he you can do that now. You could do a storyline that last for a long time. Where tension is building between Rick and Scott, then Bron turn on Rick. But Rick doesn't want to take revenge on Bron cause he loves him. Then it seems like Bron wants to be forgiven but he turns on his dad again. Ultimately you could have Bron turn on Scott as well, etc...the sky is the limit on what you could do.
