Its nice seeing a pretty much stock truck go wheeling. No 6" lift kit and 35" tires, no lockers.. just open diffs, and 4x4 on some street tires. Get er done!

2.8s tick from unadjusted valve lash, 2.9s get it from either noisy injectors or clogged lifters from not changing the oil. Basically is a factory option at this point!

What tire/suspension setup are you running? I inherited a 88 b2 and don’t want to go to crazy with suspension. I’ve been thinking about 235/75 tires.

It is common for the 2.9l to have lifter ticking! Just keeping having fun with it until it blows then swap a 1st gen explorer 4.0l into it!
