I usually don't get to excited seeing people's new builds cus it's all been done before. It's hard to actually build something that's unique and super sick unless u have a million dollars to spend. But this bronco is absolutely beautiful. i wudnt change a thing. And I'm not a Ford guy at all. But I want this bronco straight up.

That is NICE!!!! Same color as my old FJ!! I need to get another offroad rig. My Tundra while somewhat capable is just to big but I needed a tow vehicle for the boat and camper. With my 4 car garage I have the space so I've been toying with the idea of a build of my own. Miss the Rush of offroading a lot!!!

NVM skids with UHMW are super nice. I installed them on my WT. And the self lubricationg properties I found out about last year coming down the waterfall gatekeeper on the Grizzly Lake trail at SCW. I dropped the front tires over the 3 ft wall and my Bronco slide clear to the bottom. It was comic. I now have APG Mid-runner suspension on it on 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I will be curious how it handles on those trails now. Love to see your WT in person sometime because it looks sick AF.
@thomascarpenter55364 ай бұрын
Now just because I am studying for taking the PE and literally just did this calc... the air in the tires do in fact have weight and letting it out will reduce the weight by like 0.02 lbs. It is under pressure (more dense) therefore more mass. I did not realize APG builds such incredible rigs. When I saw one, my first thought was those fenders are toast. Really cool to see all of the engineering and testing that went into them. Great choice on the color!

I called them the day after I watched the original video when you dropped it off and the prices that were quoted to me knocked it out of the park, and I mean way out of the park. Evidently, I live Beyond my means because I make upwards of 300 K a year and I couldn't even think of doing something like this.

I'm guessing 175k, which makes no sense for an off-roader. You can have 1000x more fun with a 20k rig. Sure it won't have all the bells and whistles but you can beat the crap out of it and not care. These over the top expensive builds make no sense for 99.99% of off-roaders.

That UHMW on the skids is awesome. We use UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) on airboats, it helps protect the hull and allows the boat to easily slide over anything, even dry asphalt highways with no problem. lol.

Nice tip about spare tire air pressure. Really like the rear bumper as it is engineered for spare tire sizes up to 40". All other manufacturers I have researched only are rated up to 38" tires. I'll be communicating with APG about their bumper. BTW according to Mark Rober, there is a weight reduction by removing air from the spare tire. Thanks for sharing.
