I had a SAS Black Diamnd with the 2.7. I traded it for a 24 Everglades, i enjoy it more, Hopefully after 25 they make all the fenders this shape. The 2 3 is more than enough off road. Changed those crappy goodyear for 35 12 5 tires. I liked this model. But those unique trims are only around a couple years.

The reason other companies don't call theirs a "snorkel" is for legal reasons. They have to refer to it as a "raised air intake" if the entire system is not watertight. Take the Ineos Grenadier for example, the raised air intake on the Grenadier consists of multiple parts and will easily let water in should it become submerged. These systems are to increase the air intake above the dust level when traveling offroad in a convoy where dust gets kicked up by other vehicles. A snorkel on the otherhand is usual a one-piece tube that goes directly to the intake on the engine and that entire system is sealed up until the top opening of the snorkel, these are made for water crossings. So if a manufacturer tells you it's not a snorkel, it most definitely is not a snorkel and if you take it in a water crossing they will not cover any damages as they explicitly already told the consumers that it is NOT a snorkel.

The only way I’d consider a four banger bronco is with the manual. My buddies mother in law has one and we drove it on a camping trip and it was so damn fun. The gearing felt nice and with that crawl gear and four low it just walks with no effort. Foot off the gas, off the clutch, and just creep down trails.

about the comment on the raptor vs the normal sas. I disagree the normal sas shocks and suspension in general needs revised heavily. leave the wild track for the high speed. the normal sas is still leaning to far on the high speed off-road and it makes it very stiff day to day. more so than it needs to be. especially the rear end. im not sure if its the suspension or specifically the shocks being sprung or valved different in the rear but the rear is so stiff it gets unsettled at the smallest bumps in the road and is super harsh to live with. im looking forward to getting some coilovers for my 24 black diamond SAS asap! leaning towards rideshocks or dobinsons because the factory sas shocks are just way to harsh and 100% lean towards high speed and that's not what I wanted in the slightest and that's why I didn't buy a wild track..

Most of us dream of going off road. But reality shows that most people who buy off road focused vehicles never go off road. The cringe is those guys who build up their rigs with accessories like snorkel, roof rack, winvh, larger tires...yet never go off road. Which is almost everyone
@grisa123452 ай бұрын
There's literally no way for you to know if "almost everyone" doesn't go offroad. My Wrangler Rubicon is parked at my office building sometimes, lifted, 37s, gobi rack, winch, etc. and people like you may assume it doesn't go offroad... meanwhile I'm driving it to and through the Rubicon Trail in CA and many Colorado trails constantly. I would maybe not assume you know if people go/don't go offroad just because you see a clean rig. The only "cringe" is you judging other people's rigs.
