Who is the first founder of anthropology ? Can you able to tell me Mam When I searched in Google , I couldn't get the real answer . Because the site's showed me different answer and I am very confused now

YuRi, this is an excellent question, and it is one that has no definitive answer - here is why. Many of the early founders of the study had backgrounds that ranged from economics, physics, and theology. For example, some reflect on the work of a Franciscan friar who lived in the 16th century and the work he did to lay the foundations for ethnographic research, which is a preferred research method of many anthropologists. As noted in the video, Malinowski used his background in economics to study several of the exchange customs in the world, which is the reason why he holds the distinction of being the founder of modern social anthropology. He is one of a few scholars who decided to study people outside of Europe at a time when many western nations engaged in imperialism. It was a time when many in the west downplayed the contributions of non-western peoples - anthropologists, who often studied various fields, were those who wanted to learn more about the customs that seemed "foreign" from a culturally relative point of view. They did sometimes refer to earlier practices used to study humans to determine the best approach. A great example of this is the founder of American anthropology, Franz Boas. At this point, you have probably already read a good deal about him. :)
