STOP DOING SHEIN HAULS Do not support creators who do massive fast fashion hauls. It’s disgusting, wasteful and harmful for the environment. These ppl spends hundreds or thousands on clothes they are going to end up throwing away. If you have that kind of money to waste, you can afford to shop sustainably. Fast fashion has a significant environmental impact. According to the UN, the industry is the second-biggest consumer of water and is responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions - more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined. Fashion production dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams. Not to mention shein has been called out for numerous human rights violations including child laborer. What's more, 85% of all textiles go to the dump each year. The equivalent of one garbage truck full of clothes is burned or dumped in a landfill every second. And washing some types of clothes sends thousands of bits of plastic into the ocean. Micro plastics end up in our water and our bodies. We already knew that humans ingest and inhale microplastics, up to 121,000 microparticles per year for an adult, or the equivalent of a credit card (5 grams) per WEEK. Human caused climate change is getting worse at a much faster rate than anyone could have predicted. We have more devastating natural disasters. Since 1970, 50% of all insects have disappeared. Alaska had to completely cancel their crab season because billions of snow crabs have disappeared due to warming ocean waters. There are huge garbage patches in every ocean and fast fashion clothing washes up on beaches. Ice is melting at the poles at unprecedented rates. We don’t have time for excuses.
