High school numbers are no longer the sole metric in what determines a player's value. EYBL is literally like a pro circuit and he played every summer of it and always played well. furthermore, he was a combo guard at Sierra and never had high usage rates and always impacted the game on both ends of the floor just like he does in these high lights. Thats why he was an all american. it wasnt just the high school numbers and it surely just wasnt daddy.

Even going through his game logs, even with decent stats IN THE G-LEAGUE, Bronny still is far from NBA caliber. He's still wildly inefficient, even in his better scoring performances (of course, 8 games is a small sample size). He still doesn't deserve a spot on any team in the league and he definitely didn't deserve a draft selection.

@@clouudii_Cx kinda of true kind of not but lakers had like 2 picks this year off there gonna play there two hand selected picks more then the other summer league players and Bronny was almost picked up by other teams but didn't get picked up because lakers denied. Players from 40-60 either are cut from the league within a year or are never even signed , the chance of getting a Jokic is 1 in a billion. And this was the worst draft class there ever has been in the last 20 years I think you guys are just overreacting.

My opinion hasn't changed on Bronny. His father is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and he's played a ton with his father outside of the NBA. Of course he's going to be good. Never agreed with the people hating on him saying it was a wasted draft pick, those are bandwagon haters. He'll be NBA good in a few years.

Hes not going to be "NBA good." He will be good enough to get a roster spot though. Youre creating the very problem youre complaining about. Stop giving unrealistic projections. Its only going to cause hate and criticism when he inevitably falls short of them. Bronny at best will get minutes as a roleplayer. He will never be a starter, let alone a superstar. But theres nothing wrong with coming off the bench. There are plenty of men whose fathers were NBA Hall of Fame players who never even made it to the NBA. This wouldnt be an issue if his last name wasnt James.

@CalebSimmons-cb4ch 5 күн бұрын
The problem is his efficiency. Even in his better G-League performances so far (and I will acknowledge that it is still a very small sample size), he has been wildly inefficient as a scorer. In the modern league, teams can't afford a non-scoring perimeter player no matter how good their defense is. Right now, at best, Bronny looks like an undersized Andre Roberson or Killian Hayes. Might have great defensive upside, and in the case of Hayes they might have good playmaking, but teams can't afford to give that kind of player minutes anymore.
@donavenmurray3463
@donavenmurray3463 5 күн бұрын
@ I don’t think his efficiency is a problem. He’s a rookie and a lot of rookies that handle the ball struggle with efficiency early on. What’s important for him that he’s been showing lately is a willingness to take the shots. He will learn where his spots are as he gets more experience and will become more efficient.

@CalebSimmons-cb4ch
@CalebSimmons-cb4ch 5 күн бұрын
@@donavenmurray3463 Yes, but most of those rookies struggle with their efficiency IN THE NBA. And even most them are more efficient than Bronny. Especially the players who end up even becoming half decent role players. Bronny right now IN THE G - LEAGUE is posting a TS% barely better than a rookie Killian Hayes. Keep in mind that Killian Hayes was released by one of the worst NBA teams ever last season. And Killian Hayes was doing that in what is a much more talented league. Bronny James is playing as poorly so far in the G - League (I will acknowledge that it is a small sample) as a rookie Killian Hayes in the NBA. Killian Hayes is legitimately one of the WORST NBA PLAYERS who actually played minutes in recent memory. Now, I actually am rooting for Bronny. But I think people are overreacting. Let's wait and see if he can have even a stretch of five straight actually positive games before we go making grand declarations about his future. Legitimately, no one would care and you would have no hopes for his future if it weren't for his last name.

@@meezyworld Yes, I will give you that. On average, rookies (for obvious reasons) are not usually all that efficient. BUT, most of them are inefficient IN THE NBA (which Bronny is not in) and most rookies that get actual PT are more efficient even in the NBA than Bronny has been thus far in the G - League.

People are weird. They said he should've stayed in college, but he's avg 3x what he had ppg at USC in G League vs Pros. Some dude criticizing him for taking 20 shots? If you shoot 40%, you need to take about 28 to 30 shots to score 23 pts. The fact that he can get to his spots and gets shots up means all he has to do is make more, which is confidence and shot selection.
