Tremendous athlete , that vertical catch and dunk and that rebound when the crowd thought he was gonna put it back are a testament to that . And now he’s aggressive the % will improve I’m just glad he’s actually taking shots now .

@@John6-40 If you recall, the boy didn't have the ability or confidence to even get himself those shots just a couple of months ago. He wasn't even in a spot where he should start considering his percentages. It was all about how to get those shots and assists and not being completely irrelevant. Now several months later, the boy is handling part of the offense plays as a point guard, playing solid defense, hustling on both end of the court, and making passable open threes. I would say this is an observable improvement, especially considering the short timespan. The fact you are talking about efficiencies now shows improvement, because a couple of months ago he was a complete trash and you don't even need to start discussing his stats.

That +- speaks volumes here, especially compared to other ‘more seasoned’ players. Seems like an excellent teammate. I see him in a rotation role as soon as next season, Point of attack, off the bench. His minutes depend on the matchup unfortunately as his height is a concern, could make up for it with strength potentially.

Remember he really didn’t have a freshmen season in USC cuz of the heart thing so he is really almost straight out of high school and I think at 55th pick the Lakers got a real good value pick. Even if he never even averages double digit scoring as a NBA player he can still be effective playing defense getting assists and occasionally knocking down some open 3s and getting buckets on fast break and steals. I can see him getting 4 to 5 assists with 5 rebounds a steal and good effort on a nightly basis. Not bad from the 10th man in your team.

Never lacks effort on defense and rebounding, doesn’t just shoot 3’s and can take it to the rim,also a decent playmaker,looks like 3pt shot is getting better He didn’t get to do any of these things in college unfortunately,should play more in g league to develop This is exactly why some teams wanted him in 2nd round and rich paul had to intervene, he won’t be a star but he will be a good 2 way guard off the bench that can do it all

He's definitely not shy to shoot the ball anymore, that's for sure. He has great natural defense. If he can work on scoring efficiently (say around 42% FG) then he can definitely be a solid NBA player. He's improving and developing, that's all that matters.

He shouldn't even be playing, tbh. That said, a cardiac arrest, if recovered from, would have no impact on his ability to play. Especially almost 2 years later. Again though, I think it's crazy that he's playing with a heart defect that caused a cardiac arrest. He can literally die at any moment playing basketball. LeBron should be asking him to stop.

I know he was worried about it happening again, so he didn't go 100% until he got comfortable, not to mention NBA speed way is different from college. On top of having the most pressure as the 55th pick in NBA history. Im just saying i can see why he was struggling at first.
