I haven’t beaded since I was a brownie scout, 65 years ago. I have been watching beading videos, and decided to attempt a project. I have a lot of Miyuki 6/0s and 8/0s because I add them to the lace shawls which I knit. I made a PRAW bangle using a bunch of those beads. It looks a bit weird, different sections with different beads, but I got the stitch right away. Your tutorials are wonderful. This gives me confidence to try more complex projects. Thank you Stephanie.

Chr Living thank you 🙏🌻 I’m not sure what you mean by fish line? If it is Fireline fishing line then yes. Or are you referring to monofilament? Let me know do I can help 😃
@chrliving36657 жыл бұрын
I have no idea what it is. I just went to the bead shop and asked for fish line. The label is in Chinese, and it's 0.2 mm thick and a bit stretchy. I actually find it a bit uncomfortable to work with because it often slips out of the needle eye. Have to watch it all the time, even if the tail is long.

This is a great stitch. Used the light grey nozue, but it is very obvious so am switching to black nozue, if that stands out, will go to fireline smoke. I use a rather tight tension, but the threads show where going in and out of 2mm druks. I find the Nozue tangles easily, much more than fireline. Do you wax it? It does have a nice stretch, so worth learning to use. I really appreciate all your videos. You are an excellent teacher and I like your style and colors. Your camera and audio are so wonderful. You could give lessons to some other tutors.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry7 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much🙏😊🌻 The CRAW and PRAW stitches tend to show thread so I use black Wildfire or smoke Fireline to minimize that. . I would definitely wax the Nozue Sonoko. You’re very kind 💗💙❤️
@sass23877 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome. I find the Nozue shreds going through the pearls, so am switching to fireline. It's a good all around thread. Will try waxing Nozue later. Did you use 4mm beads in the jade or turquoise bracelet? They look a little bigger. Do you ever teach classes? That would be a real treat. Are you going to be at the B&B Show? S

Hi Stephanie, thank you for sharing this video, the instructions are so simple to follow. I am wondering if bicones can be used in place of the pearls. If yes then what would be the thread of choice? I do not have enough pearls, but have lots of bicones that I want to use. Thanks again!
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! I don'y think it would work very well with bicones as it might be hard to get the RAW units to sit properly. However, I've never done it with bicones so give it a try with a small piece and see how it sits. The bicones might also cut the thread (any thread you use will probably cut from the bicone's edges when stitching around like this). Have you thought of making the Interlace Bracelet which uses a ton of little 3mm bicones.kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn7ZoY2QlKp3qZY
@Tina0904083 жыл бұрын
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Thank you Stephanie for your reply. I have been careful where to use the bicones because of the very reason that they cut the thread :( . I also bought some beading 11 and 12 needles. And some beading thread(Fire in the name). I’m having so much trouble. I’ve broken 3 of the 4 needles. Are there other needles I could use? love this, like all your projects and the colours are first class. I can never find the right shade of turquoise!!!! Thank you for all your beautiful videos. I love your style.

Hi there, thank you all your projects and not just this one. I'd like to buy the drums for this and wondered what quantity to get. I don't want to overbuy but nor do I want to have to pay two lots of postage if I don't get enough. I don't have a stock of beads so it would be really helpful if you could state or put in the 'more' what quantity a project uses please. Thank you

You’re welcome 🙏🌻😊 I don’t count seed beads or 2mm - too small I’d get a headache lol. Buy at least the same amount as the 3mm amounts I put in the description box under the video. Be sure to get enough for your bracelet size. Amounts are approximate so you might have some left over. The 600 count bag of 2mm druks is about $9 US. You can get smaller amounts as well.

Great work Stephanie, love this bracelet. I think I'll give it a try! Can I replace the Druk beads by anything else?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry6 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏😊🌻 You can use 11/0’s as well.

Can I use a 3mm sterling silver metal bead for this bracelet and if so, what thread would you recommend
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry4 жыл бұрын
+Jacqueline Hunter Yes you can use metal beads as long as their edges are smooth. I’m not sure what thread to use. I use a heavy Fireline with metal beads but I’m no expert on the proper thread to use with metal. You could try bead crochet with metal beads if you know how.

Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry thank you so much for responding so quickly. I’ll try it and let you know how it turned out!

Couple things: 1. Love the video. 2. Your lack of cuticles gives me hope in life. 😍 3. You mentioned in an older video -2016 I think? - RAW bezeling. Do you know which video you were referring to? Would you say RAW bezeling is easier than peyote? Thank you always! ♥️

Thank you Lisa😊 Haha I drench my cuticles in jojoba oil daily 💅 🤣 and I’m not sure which bezel video you are referring to? The Interlace Bezel on my channel is an easy RAW bezel. Try the Mini Ring. I have a playlist of bezels on my channel. I really love the look of a Peyote bezel as well. Learn both - it’s worth the aggravation 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Stephanie Would it be okay if I switched the 2mm druk beads with 2mm fire polished? Thats all I have right now and I don't want to wait to try this !! P.s. you are an awesome teacher and VERY creative and encouraging! So thank you 😊

Yes use your 2mm fire polished beads! PS thank you 🙏😀🌻

Hi Stephanie, greetings from Tipperary, love your tutorials, and your designs, tried the praw mega bangle with 3mm pearls and size 11 seed beads, but when I go to sew the ends together, some of the inside pearls are bulging out, is it my tension, (not tight enough..) or the thread I'm using, K.O.? Monica
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much 😊 The KO thread may be too soft and your tension not quite tight enough. Could you take out a few rounds and tighten up your tension. Maybe wax the KO?
@monicamcnicholas44484 жыл бұрын
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Thanks Stephanie, figured it might be the tension or the thread, I'll retry with tighter tension, and also the thread waxing, thanks a mill, love your work, hope you're all well over there 😊🤩

Love your work always, question, can you do this with 4 starter beads instead of six, to make it thinner around?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry5 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏 Four Bead will make it Cubic Right Angle Weave.

Ok that’s what I figured, was just curious, so just smaller beads to make it thinner, thank you so much

Hi Stephanie! Got a quick question.... could this pattern be made using 6/0's for the 3mm and 8/0's for the 2mm? Right after the holidays, $$$ is a little tight and I'm dying to try this! I just wondered if you (or anyone else here!) has tried it? I was thinking that the holes might be too big. Thanks bunches!! 🤗
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry7 жыл бұрын
Try 8/0’s for the 3mm and 11/0’s for the 2mm. Works very well this way😊
@nicolebyers52667 жыл бұрын
Would this work with 4 millimeter bicones and 3 mm rounds. But you can just use 3 and 4 mm only as well correct.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry7 жыл бұрын
Yes I think it will. The only issue might be thread showing with the bicones. I definitely would give it a try, I will too 🌸 I think any combo of beads is worth a try - even just one size!

Hi Steph, didn't have the 2MM druks; so tried the 8 o's. still seems a little bit against the 3MM pearls. do you think using 11 o's is ok?
