Why this video doesn't have more attention is beyond me. This is beautiful, it really sets the mood of a once happy and thriving town, but is now a hollow, empty, and lonely labyrinth of buildings. A "prince" can also mean a local ruler of a small territory that is part of a larger territory (for example, the ruler of a district that is part of a country). Sounds pretty close to what Ralsei is, although you do need to explain what happened to his subjects. My guess is that either they all moved to larger districts of the kingdoms, or the King killed them.

This is...HAUNTING! My word! This evokes both a feeling of peace and a sort of old healing mourning, and the Celtic feel of it intensifies that even more. I can almost see Ralsei ambling through town and singing to himself, waiting for the Lighteners to arrive and allow him to escape. This is amazing, beautiful work, my friend! A bittersweet loneliness fills the air. Its melody lulling you in a cape of darkness, gently fluttering in the stale wind. Somehow it leads you throughout the forsaken town. As you peer through each window, the sense of abandonment stared right back as you can't help but imagine a town full of life. This parallel became so vivid, it was as if you could feel the ghosts of the each citizen, walking past you. You wonder what ill fate could have begotten the people who had lived here?

I think it was only a short period before Kris and Susie arrived. Based on the events of Chapter 2, I think Ralsei’s “basis object” is Kris’s memories and perceptions of big brother Asriel. If he existed before Kris entered the Dark World, it would only be indirectly through the human’s mind.

Imagine this: You and your friends stroll through a small village, looking for a place to rest. One of your friends, a faun with brown hair and freckles named Willow, splashes around in puddles left by the recent rain, whilst the other, a harpy with dark blue feathers named Violet, looks at her and smiles. You tell your friends to follow you and the three of you head into a nearby tavern. People of all kinds are scattered about, as well as a few Mythics thrown into the mix. You see a pair of centaurs conversing with harpies, a faun and a satyr laughing with a human and a phantom. There’s even a place for mermaids to sit and talk. You take a seat at a table close to a window, your companions not far behind you. You look out the window. Gray clouds are starting to form in the sky. “Great, more rain,” you think to yourself. The last thing you need is another cold night in the rain. It seems no bother to your companions, who have already up and left the table to mingle. You see Violet at the mermaid table, chatting about flying fish (you swear you see the mermaid say, “Impossible! Fish can’t fly!”), and Willow dancing for a group of centaurs and satyrs, singing an old nursery rhyme about The Great Dragon. Suddenly, you feel...left out. Somehow, your friends have never fit in with their homelands’ people, and yet here they are just fine. Is it the amount of Mythics in the area? Or are you just...not good with people? Willow casts a glance at you, and, seeing your discomfort, ends her dance and walks to Violet. She pulls on Violet’s wing, and points at you. The two walk back to your table. “What’s wrong, Hazy?” Willow asks you, worry shining in her large brown eyes. “Yes, you seem troubled,” adds Violet, adjusting her wings to sit down. You are unable to reply for a moment, before answering, “...How do you do it?” “Do what?” Willow asks innocently, “the dance? Because I can teach you-” “No, Willow, I mean...how do you do *that?* You too, Vi. I mean, look. From what you told me, you never fit in back at your homelands and I was always the one who was good with people. And yet, now you’re just fine, and I’M the one who’s socially awkward. So I don’t understand. Is it me?” “No! No, sweetie!” Violet reassures you, “Certainly not!” Willow reaches over the table (she’s sitting on the other side) to hug you, and tells you, “Hazy, look. The entire reason we’ve made it this far is because of you!” “She’s right, Hazel. We were simple common people in our towns, though treated as unequal because of our appearances. Then, you came along and swept us off our feet! We wanted to join you and feel like that. You told us you didn’t have a family. But we ARE your family.” Willow smiles brightly, and Violet gets up to get the three of you a drink. She comes back with three cups of tea. “My treat,” she says, “I think we all deserve this.” She raises her cup for a toast. Willow enthusiastically hoists hers up as well, spilling a few drops of tea in the process. You hesitate a moment, before raising your cup as well. “To how far we’ve come, and how far we’ll go in the future. May our journey be filled with adventure and wonder...and good friends,” Violet tells you and Willow. “Cheers!” You yell in unison, clinking your cups together.

Walking in an open field at dusk surrounded by waist high flowers. Running my fingers across the top of the flowers feeling as the petals brushed my hand and swayed at my touch. In the distance I see a lone cherry blossom tree in perfect bloom. It looked out of place being a lone tree. The sun almost set and soft rays of light peeking through the branches. I was walking away from a place I once called home with people I once called family. Drawing closer to the tree I see someone sitting there at the base that I didn’t see before from the blur of the tears filling my dark brown eyes. Bright soft glowing robes sitting down with a cup in his right hand and a pitcher in his left hand. I near the tree and I notice my heart begin to tremble as I draw near and feel warmth emanating from him. He nods and looks to a spot to his left that looked prepared for a while next to him with a blanket. I sit and he hands me the cup and says “if you so choose you can taste of something you’ve never seen before. I pondered for a minute as I held the glass. It’s a simple yet elegant cup. Gold with a large sapphire encrusted on its side. I asked “what is this thing I will taste and see?” He smiled and said “peace in the middle of solitude.” “If you so desire I shall teach you how to bloom in the middle of a field where you feel alone and out of place. Although in truth you are never really alone. If you are still amidst the chaos you will see the unseen world around you. You will see that I’ve always been with you.” I looked in his eyes and knew he was telling me the truth. I drank the glass and it was sweet wine, sweeter than I’ve tasted before. I looked at him and asked “who are you?” He asked me “you don’t remember? We have known each other since before the earth was formed.” I smiled and in that brief moment I had forgotten that I was sad. I felt peace for the first time in a long time as I stared at his eyes. I took a deep breath and laid on his chest and rested. When I awoke it was dawn. My hair wet from the dew and when I looked he was gone. I felt sad at first but then I felt warmth and saw a light glow coming from.....me? Surprisingly I looked down and I was wearing a robe just like the man and I felt peace. I smiled and heard his voice as if a memory say. “Stand up and walk. You will never feel alone again no matter the circumstance.” So I stood up and began to walk again with renewed strength and peace.

Celtic music puts me in this strange feeling of home. Like when I listen to it I feel I have found where I belong, in a weird way. There's something primal and timeless about it. There's somethig with the song itself, i've been listening to various versions of it in the last days and can't get out of it, it's stuck in my head. By being lonely myself, this song almost makes me have hope, hope that somebody out there is the one i'm looking for, the one i'm willing to be sharing everything i've been past.
