For SFV, pc is a better experience in general and has less input lag. But as far as the pcb goes I can’t tell the difference at all.

Hi Jony. I commented on one of JoyStickNY's videos asking if he had any experience with wiring brooks newest pcb and he directed me to you. Any chance of getting an updated and IN-DEPTH installation video of the newer Brook PS4+ Fighting Board with Audio v2017 (PS4/PS3/Switch/PC) on here? I've been looking for as much information as possible so I can install a headphone jack into my Hori Real Arcade Pro. 4 Kai for PlayStation 4 but, EVERYONE leaves out something of importance or glances over things and fails to properly explain how and why things need to be done the way they are or how to work around certain problems. Any and all visual aids concerning the aforementioned PCB would be greatly appreciated. please and thank you.

There’s really not much to it. Just need to drill a 24mm hole for the audio breakout board. Buy the 20pin harness and your set for the main action buttons. Since it’s a Hori stick, you’ll have to possible solder in some connections if you wanted to re-use the auxiliary control panel.

@@jonyfraze Sir, with all due respect I already know all of this. The very first place I got in contact with about this matter, before anyone else was FocusAttack (I still have the E-mails) and their assistance was subpar. They got me going in the right direction but every answer resulted in more questions not to mention they gave ZERO visual aids, I believe there are things that get lost in translation between theory and practice. I have a specific way that I would like to have things set and mounted but, I don't think it's possible, or at the very least it's not widely known or shared. I apologize if I seem difficult to work with but I'm simply just new to the arcade stick world (about 1 year and a half in). I'm not familiar with all of the lingo, parts, names of parts nor every single little thing they do or why they're used. Thank you once again for your time.

Hi, Does this fighting baord require firmware upgrade as well? I am curious because I can't find any download option from brooks pages for this particular board. There is only for universal fighting board and ps4+ audio fighting board. Help is highly appreciated in advance! :)

Do you know which firmware file to use for this board? On the Brook site there's only the files for the small PS3/4, blue PS3/4+ Audio, and UFB.. there's no firmware for this specific board in the downloads section. I really don't wanna screw up my new board, so if anyone has successfully updated this board, please share what works.

Thinking of getting this board for my custom stick. Does it allow for touchpad functionality like for resetting during practice modes?

Yes you can wire a button direct to TP. Left + TP = left touch pad press, etc..

There is no improvement compared to theblue ps4+ board. Except that it should be cheaper. Im hoping 40$. same price as the ps3/4 board.

After owning it for a month, here's what I got to say: 1. It works flawless with PS4 games like SFV and T7 2. It is absolutely horrible on PS3. T6 Practice is not working, button combinations work half way, and certain games will keep freezing controls or one of your buttons will go missing. I've experienced that issue with Third Strike Online Edition. 3. Try to play FightCade and it keeps saying in the inputs that button 7 is continuously being held. Do I recommend it? For people who have a PS4 and want to make your own fightstick on the cheaper side, yes. But if you're one of the guys who like to play the older games as much as the new ones, prepare for some headaches.
