One of the best romantic dramas of all times...But a little bitter at the end, i feel so shitty when the endless song starts and seeing Davids face trough the ironed window...breaks me in two....

I love this movie. But one thing I can’t get over is the fact that most everything could have been avoided if he had just stayed away for a full month instead of setting her house on fire. Lol.

True. But the point is that he is so obsessed that he cannot think straight. Think of when you were last in love. It's a state of insanity.

I saw this movie when I was in the 7th grade in 1977 !! Does anyone remember when it was first released !! It is still my most favorite movie of all time!
@taheenlopez9 жыл бұрын
tracey mallard Actually this flick didn't come out till the Summer of 1981 if you look it up online.
@traceymallard9 жыл бұрын
I know people have said this but in 1977 I went with my very best friend to see this and we asked the adults in front of us if we could just walk in with them, and they said yes. So we paid our tickets and saw the movie. And I remember crying my eyes out at the end because I was so moved by Martin Hewiit and Brooke shields. I was 12 years old and I remember this movie quite well and where I was when I saw it.
@taheenlopez9 жыл бұрын
tracey mallard I still find that very odd, because if you look it up on the internet, especially on Wikipedia, ENDLESS LOVE's theatrical release was in July of 1981, but are you sure you're not thinking of some other drama flick that was released in theaters in 1977, like LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR?
@taheenlopez9 жыл бұрын
tracey mallard I really can't understand why various people would tell you ENDLESS LOVE was released in theaters back in 1977, especially since this movie wasn't even being made or even filmed yet
@traceymallard9 жыл бұрын
I know its confusing but I read what you have seen also, but the movie was originally released in 1977, due to poor reviews because of the controversy surrounding Brooke shields and what was thought to be the oversexualisation of children in R-rated films in the 70's. A lot of parents were upset over it, as well as people who called Teri Sheilds ,Brooke's mother) a unfit stage mom etc... I have a pretty good memory of those days back then, and this movie had a profound effect oin me , and I was 12 years old when it was first seen. I myself read that this movie was released in 1977, but it didn't last due to the controversy behind it...and I had the book after it came out and I was 13 then...

Franco Zeffirelli was quite a racy film director in his day. It's amazing how organic filmmaking used to be, and there were no restrictions on minors performing nude scenes in much earlier years, considering his other film 'Romeo and Juliet'

I wasnt even allowed to talk to a guy at 15 yrs old hahaha.....Wow...but I find there's no respect to the dad, bringing a guy in his house and having sex. That's just not right. Even when I was 15 yrs old I would have never brought even a guy in my room.

Young Brooke Shields was one of the most gorgeous actresses to ever grace the silver screen.However, as she matured she developed a rather bulky and masculine physique which basically stalled her modeling career .Too bad because she would still be popular today .
@middlekidcomplex94467 жыл бұрын
Kinda weird comment.. Yeah she changed. We all do. It's called growing, aging - the process of living. By the way, she's still popular today.
@barbie61537 жыл бұрын
I agree. Very beautiful in her teen. She is about the same age as other supermodels such as Cindy, Linda, Paulina... but her modeling didn't seem to last as long as their. Regardless, she definitely left her mark in 🎥 and in fashion industry.

@pattownsend64478 жыл бұрын
I did not like James Spader who played Keith. he was a jerk. He was the one who brought David home with him. Jade and David could not help the way they felt about each other although they were young. In the end of the movie he blamed David for the death of his father, he did run after David and a car hit him but it was not his fault and he turned on David.
@pattownsend64478 жыл бұрын
Either you are a friend to someone or you are not. David and Keith started out as good friends but then Keith turned his back on David. I think he was jealous of David and Jade and the fact they loved each other and he hasn't found true love.

The book was so much different. There was a lot of sex like the movie, but the love was more onesidded. It turned out that Jade was the one who asked her dad to tell the guy to stay away for the month because she felt smothered. She wasn't really in love with him, it was just sex to her.
