Please don't add me to the blocked list but that couch has got to go. Your space is so beautiful and that couch is just too cumbersome and drab for that amazing apartment. I think finding a less bulky couch would make the space feel so much better for you. I think we can all tell you are trying your best to love it but its just not working. Congratulations on your amazing new home though!

I have also made the mistake of the sectional.. they are so hard to decorate around. I had to sell mine. I agree with @gunnarlach6139, sell the sofa. Also- I would not mount your TV on the wall facing the island. I would buy and place a smaller sofa where the TV is today and then put a console or even a larger piece of furniture on the wall to the right of the nice window seat area. Create a little room with a rug anchoring the space and another chair facing the windows. If you mount the TV in that center spot, I am afraid you will lose any area for storage and everyone can use more storage. Good luck.. you've got this!

Just an idea ✨ hire an electrician to create an additional outlet behind your tv mount. It will keep all the cords tucked away and give you space under the TV to do whatever you want with it!

Thanks for sharing about your colonoscopy. A friend of a friend of mine just passed away in her 30s of stage 4 colon cancer. It’s great for you to tell younger people to have awareness of this and be proactive about their health, especially when it comes to procedures that can be a little embarrassing for people to talk about maybe.. so thank you ❤

Professional interior design assistance should be helpful for couch/TV situation. The couch style and shape doesn't work for the space and design of your beautiful home.

i think the piece in the middle of the couch that fills it in would be better to remove so its just a L shape. It will help the couch fill the space. Dont get get rid of it even if you buy a smaller couch you cant do anything else with the "extra" room, the couch space is always needed.

I fear *sigh* the couch might not be the right fit for the apartment... Maybe just maybe if you exchange the piece that's next to the window for like just the ottoman piece with no back it might fit a little better and look more open? If you even can I know you said it only goes together certain ways

I love the couch! I feel like better feng shui would be to have the entertainment center anchored against the wall and move the couch back to where you first had it, either against the window or floating to divide the dining table space from the living room space! Maybe it is too big for the space like others have said? But I think it looks really comfy and get its appeal :)

Suggestion: When you pulled your chair out from the dining table it seemed to be rubbing/scraping the floor. They sell felt tabs that you can stick to the bottom of your chair which protect your floors in the long run.

You should pull your couch a little bit away from the wall And if you want, you can put a sofa table back there with a lamp, regardless, pull it away from the wall❤

Sending goodness to you!! Glad that you are all clear from the colonoscopy. Loving the apartment and vlogs. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Know that you are amazing!! I've had stomach issues all my life...turned out to be dairy and tomatoes. I hope that you start to feel better soon!

The dining table and chairs are so beautiful ❤but the sofa on the wall is not the move i think 🥹 i think mounting your tv on that wall could help but i fear we need a smaller and more chic couch that can float in the middle of the room. Then the left side is ur dining area and the right side could be a reading nook or bookshelf space

You know what would look really good by your table between those two windows? A bar cart. Maybe a nice size one you could mildly decorate during holidays but functional. Anyways, just an idea. Everything is looking great. Good enough is good enough 🥰

I liked the couch better the other way the back to the dining table. I don't like the idea of the tv being mounted on that wall. But it's your place and whatever works for you 😘

Yess! I had a colonoscopy at 28 due to IBS I need to do a followup on but it’s not that bad ! And I did feel skinny after 😂 but it’s great to bring awareness especially since it’s scary that so many young people are getting colon cancer

that couch is soooo comfy can you move the pieces so you fave the view? like long side against the wall, short section back to the door parallel with the counter? then you can see the tv without a swivel, enjoy the view & add an entryway table behind the couch to form an entry way? love this new space!! excited to see what you do with it :)

I’m so glad you were able to get the colonoscopy - so many doctors refuse to do it when you’re younger, which isn’t right, especially with how colon cancer rates are rising in younger people. Side note, I do wonder if even one less section of the couch would make it fit better in the space?

I’m glad the colonoscopy came back clear! I recently was experiencing some GI issues, they looked at my gallbladder becomes gallstones run in my family. That was clear but I decided to go on a gluten free diet for a week to see if that did anything. I wasn’t having really bad symptoms all the time, basically I was incredibly bloated all the time and didn’t even realize it, I just assumed it was more fat. And I had really bad vomiting episodes a few times in the last year. Well after a week of not eating gluten, my bloat was gone! I was shocked! And so that makes me wonder if my vomiting episodes were also caused by gluten. Just wanted to share my experience!

I suffer from a physician significant other, (you may be having the same experience haha) but not health anxiety. He's had me go to the doctor for several things that turned out to be nothing but the last one actually turned out to be cancer. Doesn't sound like health anxiety to me, like you said. Preventative is better than reactive!

lol I'm 28 and had my first colonoscopy last week. I was so embarrassed about the whole process and about my age. Thankfully mine was all clear as well...but I still struggle with GI issues. It's true and scary that colon cancer is getting more common in younger people. I wonder if it's from all the additives we eat in our food...seems like every other person I know has stomach issues. Really enjoy your vlogs Brooke!

Hopefully your results come back positive with no findings!! This would be a relief but can also be frustrating not having answers. I would recommend seeing a Dietitian Nutritionist or naturopathic that specialized in gut health. Take a GI Map test and this will help pin point what might be going on in your gut to help find a resolution.

I would like to take a moment to defend the couch. I see a lot of comments saying it has to go but I disagree. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right layout for your space and I think even if she got a smaller couch, she’d still have to play with the layout. In the end it’s gonna come together!
