Idol is how I found Jimin and made me a BTS fan. I had to know who the pretty guy with the high kicks was. Down the rabbit hole after that and now Jimin is my ult. Hi, I am back. Good reaction. ty. I like Mark. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. I need U was 2015. Then after i think DNA, and the rest so it was a steady rise but DNA for sure in USA. They already had an international fanbase as u know because the Big 3 put a lot of roadblocks in their way. Social media was the only option for them to share their music and themselves with fans. Reactors helped get their music to more ppl too. Army was asking so many to react and ppl loved the songs and checked out more. Ppl on here shared and BTS rose steadily upward. Mic Drop: It's a slap in the face for their haters by saying they're at a point where it doesn't matter what you say because your words don't matter anymore. It's also a flex song by pointing out how many trophies they have because at this point they'd need a U-Haul to get them all. Just for an example, in Korea there are weekly music shows by various stations and the winner gets a trophy. Dynamite has 36 (I think) award show wins and that's without any promotion on their end. Fun fact: Mic Drop was inspired by President Obama's mic drop when he left office. =0] The dance break they added to the live is so good. There is a practice video for that. And they have performed this song with the new choreo for a while now. I saw another live with it. It is a perfect addition to the original choreo though they just made it harder as usual. =0p So glad u loved this song like I do. Black Swan is great. On Kinetic Manifesto is good too. Hugs. They used traditional Korean instrument to drive the beat of Afro House music. They used West African print material (Ankara) for their suite designs! And they incorporated popular African dances into their choreography! The "Gwara Gwara" is the dance move they are doing with the knee isolation and arm in the air and was first popularized by Rhianna. I LOVE THIS VIDEO and THE SONG!!! You should watch 'Idol explained by a Korean' DKDKTV. They break down the lyrics, the visuals, the clothes, and cultural references we would never know otherwise.
