Wow. Thanks. I did a similar trip in'86, amost 40 years ago. Everything has changed, except the mountains. There was no tea houses and we tent camped. Our walking distance was 350 miles. I guess one can drive in much further now. Sure seems like travel company did a great job. But thanks for stirring some memories.

Brooke, you are a wonder. The first thing I noted was: O God, stairs - and more stairs, and yet more stairs. Your huffing and puffing reminded me so much of you climbing the stairs to Machu Picchu. I felt so tired after watching this. Next thing of note was: was that wild growing patches of marijuana you were walking through? And some of those paths were not even made for goats much less humans. Scary. One misstep and you'd wish you brought a parachute. Can't say I blame you given the shower facilities. I couldn't go so long - even when I was bed ridden with the flu, I still crawled out to get under the hot shower then crawl back to bed. The scenery was fantastic, but at my age I'll let you be my proxy. Yes, the water coming out of the stone got me beat to figure it out. Was there mosquitos up there as in Peru? And I can just imagine the clear star filled night sky. With no real roads to those villages, how do they get building materials in? And how did your scalp feel after 10 days without washing your hair. Sooooo many questions to ask would take a book. Thank you for sharing, Brooke, and I do pray for your safety and continued good health. ❤❤❤

Ricardo!! Your comments always out such a big smile on my face 😄 I literally thought the exact same thing when I was climbing those stairs- reminded me of the stairs to Machu Picchu!! And yes that was- there was a lot of it growing wild! Thanks again for such a sweet and thoughtful comment 💕

Looks like you did the whole hike in trail running shoes? Did you wish you had hiking boots?
@BrookeonFoot19 күн бұрын
No, I always hike in trail running shoes!!! They are so much better in my opinion. They are super lightweight, dry really quickly, I never get blisters or have any foot issues whatsoever. I will never hike in boots!!
